Liner Notes:

Whew!! Last of the 50/90 "kinda started, not really finished" concepts that has been floating around for a few weeks. If you know, you know. I feel so grateful to have the time today to finish up these songs. Happy to end on this one and look foward to commenting more for as long as the site is active. I ended up with quite a few pieces I eager to rework and polish! Thanks for all the community and support!

Lyrics:

Where paths diverge
Where dark and light converge
Where the magic is cast
In the future, present, and past

That's where she can be found
In the howl of a distant hound

She's the Queen of the Crossroads
Goddess of the night
Guides us through the shadows
With her torches burning bright
She's the Queen of the Crossroads

She's the words in our spells
Holds the keys to all the realms
Sees our passage beyond strife
Freely moves between death and life

We humbly seek her favor
Offer honey and wine to savor
With lavender, rose, and frankincense
Please hear our intents

That's where she can be found
In the howl of a distant hound

She's the Queen of the Crossroads
Goddess of the night
Guides us through the shadows
With her torches burning bright
She's the Queen of the Crossroads

Indecision we release
Intuition brings us peace
Show us the blessed direction
Provide us your protection
With the sisters of our coven
We pledge our devotion

In the midnight of new moon
With yew wreaths freshly hewn
We quiet to hear your voice
At the boundaries of choice

That's where she can be found
In the howl of a distant hound

She's the Queen of the Crossroads
Goddess of the night
Guides us through the shadows
With her torches burning bright
She's the Queen of the Crossroads

This reminds me of the witches at the beginning of Shakespeare's MacBeth. Perfect for the coming holiday. Dust off those spooky synth sounds for this one! Oh, and don't forget the broom.

Nicely written with a lot of nice pagan references here that give it some heft and centeredness. Can't wait to hear what you do musically with this!

Very nicely written. With crossroads everywhere we all could use help being guided by this queen… I’ll be listening for the howling hound.

Smooth writing and likeable theme. Lots of perfect rhymes and a tight rhythmic scheme. This could work well for the Halloween and Bonfire season.

This is a great write. The visuals are so strong. It conjures a picture of a ritual scene in my head. It is haunting and beautiful at the same time. I hope to hear it with music one day!
