Love it Wobbie.. so good. I'm UK based too (south east London) and was thinking a song about the fuel crisis would be fun so really glad you did this! I love the punk delivery too and your voice is so cool, love the mocking 'yeah right nice good luck with that' and the idiots at the end! you perfectly summarised my frustration about the whole thing! I keep getting stuck in jams around the local station that seems to still have fuel and then i want to scream at them all!! idiots indeed. So well done..

This is great. Very well observed lyrics and the hook in the chorus is perfect. Oh, and the 'Idiots' bit at the end was perfect!
I went to my local forecourt today for the first time since the crisis started. I'd wanted to stay away to not be one of those panic buyers but the noticed that the low petrol warning indicator had flashed on in my car. Luckily there was some petrol at my local forecourt ...
Wahey! The perfect song for the moment...well done Wobbie! So apposite...funny country this...vote ourselves into a pickle then turn on each other...can't think of a bigger, more powerful country that would do that kind of thing but even more so

Helpful to read some of the comments to gain the proper insight for this song…which is awesome!!! Yes, the idiot line at the end was my favorite but there are some many great references and lyrical lines throughout. The punk rock delivery works perfectly.

There's a great punk rock feel to this that I love. This is a great, biting commentary on how awful and selfish people can be which is something I always think is uniquely American because Americans are SO terrible but then I remember anyone can be awful we don't have the market on that. "forecourt fisticuffs" is so catchy and feels like something that would be screamed out in a punk club. The "idiots" ad the end was the perfect cherry on top of this one.
Supremely topical and certainly hits the spot lyrically. They've been pretty civilised around where I am, or so it seems as I cycle past them!

That 'ForeCourt Fisticuffs' punk refrain is superb, could imagine a packed pub singing that at a gig! What a perfect summary of the utter madness of it all. But it's wonderful when you find someone articulating things so rationally and clearly. Thank you Wobbie!
