Liner Notes:

I started out writing something upbeat and ended up with this. I just thought of the title and it led me here.

Lyrics:

Just when things start getting better
And there's nothing more to lose
Who comes along
When times seem strong?
Hello again
Mr Blues

It seems I never learn the lesson
I know I have to choose
It's my mistake
That old heartache
Hello again
Mr Blues

I knew it would'nt be long
Till I met you once again
But when all's said and done
I just can't hide the pain

Now I feel like I'm sailing
On that drifting ship of fools
You know your way
I guess you'll stay
Hello again
Mr Blues

I knew it wouldn't be long
Till I met you once again
But when all's said and done
I just can't hide the pain

When it's time to say farwell
And I start to heal my bruise
Just for today
Don't make me say
Hello again
Mr Blues

Some great touches in the lyrics on this one, particularly the way we expect that Mr Blues to show up when things finally start to look promising...

Very nicely done. Getting a 90s Clapton vibe this time around, and that's no bad thing.

Very nice lay back blues song..with some nice guitar licks. And some classic blues lyrics about pain and hurt. Well done.

This is really tastefully done and well-coiffured - authenticity doesn't have to sound scratchy and rough. It sounds bluesy to me - in that lovely claptony, airbrushed way. It's really lovely. And the lyrics do sound properly bluesy. Great spot for the title.

sounds like a radiohead start well not that guitar exactly. Really nice move back into that rnb style! really enjoyable listen

Very classic and classy songwriting! I absolutely love these types of song. It is a bit Clapton, but it’s also got that 60s r&b vibe, particularly the turnarounds at the end of the verses. Lovely chord progression. Just sounds like one of those songs that’s been around forever. Well done.
