Thank you so much for listening and supporting #IndieArtists! We had a lot of fun creating this collaboration.

Donna sez: Absolutely beautiful, Kate. Smile Wonderful melody, instrumentation, and of course the soaring vocals and harmonies. Really lovely.
Thank you and David so much. Smile

David sez: Kate told me that Donna's lyrics were going to blow my mind. Turns out she wasn't exaggerating in the slightest - it's such a cool and powerful metaphor! Thank you Kate for giving me carte blanche to chuck a million different instruments at this one, I had A LOT of fun.

Kate sez: I admire both Donna and David's creativity, work ethic, and overall artistry. Thank you for such a meaningful collab!! The lyric, "although I am broken, I do not break" will be my mantra for weeks to come!

Lyrics:

Kintsugi

V1
One is a saucer
The other a bowl
Maybe a cup
That has never been full
And each of us
Will at some point
Lie in pieces on Life’s concrete floor

Pre-chorus
But Time is a kind of Kintsugi
Patiently filling the fractures with gold
Repairing the china too fragile to hold
And we’re stronger than ever before

Chorus
Although I am broken
I do not break
Now there’s no blow
I cannot take
No, I do not break
Although I am broken

V2
So many sorrows
Beleaguer us here
Whether it’s loss
Or betrayal or fear
And each of us
Will at some point
Come to learn there will always be more

Pre-chorus
But Time is a kind of Kintsugi
Patiently filling the fractures with gold
Repairing the china too fragile to hold
And we’re stronger than ever before

Chorus
Although I am broken
I do not break
Now there's no blow
I cannot take
No, I do not break
Although I am broken

Bridge
Dropped from the hands
Of malevolent gods
All of us perfect, all of us flawed

Chorus
Although I am broken
I do not break
Now there’s no blow
I cannot take
No, I do not break
Although I am broken

This is fantastic! So original and I am just wowed! So powerful and I love the difference in the verses and chorus. More please!

do all the voices here belong to kate? it a tour de force vocal performance given epic support from davids arrangement and production . donnas majestic lyrics flow over with love and hope, but are rooted
in a pragmatic realism.

This is amazing. The verses and PC seep into your soul and then the chorus lifts you right up. I could see this in a movie or a Disney film. Disney movies have some of my favorite songs. Brilliant collaboration all around!

DT & Kate collaborations...Love them! Donna's lyrics are mind blowing good. The powerful chorus is fantastic. What a great mantra...The bridge is spot on. Well done!

What a powerhouse of a song! Wonderful! I was captivated by all the sonics, and, of course, the inspiring lyrics. Love the imaginative musical approaches and the spirit of the whole thing.
A wonderful adventure here! Nice work!

My Goodness...this is a magical piece of music with so many fantastic elements with three people at the top of their game...amazing!

What a stomping great chorus, sour and sweet - but there's so much more to like in this. The performances and arrangement really set everything off nicely. The lyrical conceit is really nice, and it is developed really well. Really enjoyable collaborative work.

What a trio! Awesome lyrics by Donna, Kate belts out this beautiful Broadway musical opening and then David joins in with this huge Queen production! At least, that’s my impression. Simply gorgeous!

yup second one i've heard from this trio and very good it is! Love the build and the break out! top stuff! It suddenly seemed obvious to me that this is a great showtune in the classic style! could hear it in the west end or on broadway!

Great job all 3 of you. This is musical theater worthy, big finale number in fact. Including the group chorus, which is inspired. I can almost smell the grease paint and hear the stage floorboards creaking from the front row. That chorus hook is delicious too. Well done.

very imaginative lyric nicely paced, perfect vocal as you would expect by Kate, this is lovely all round Smile

Great metaphor, and this kind of repair is beautiful. The message “I do not break” is powerful. I like the malevolent gods having a hand in this.

Lots of contour to the production, interesting instrumentation and dynamics. Good flow, a few nice surprises. Reminds me of a Peter Gabriel thing, perhaps.

The chorus pops! But I love those beautiful Kate vocals in the verses, too. Wonderful lyric by Donna and overall superbly engaging song. Congrats all around.

Ah, another great collaboration of an outstanding lyricist, an outstanding performer/arrangement, and an outstanding vocalist.

Obviously a lot of work went into this one--and it shows! Great job!

A really wonderful theatrical piece! I'd pay to see this performed with a choir/orchestra. A really excellent mantra-like hook too, that I'm going to have stuck in my head for a while as well. Really great work here.

Brilliant collaboration. I feel being transported to a musical theatre. So many layers. Wonderful instrumentation and gorgeous vocals. Donna's lyrics inspired both of you, Kate and David to create a great song. Fantastic 3-way collaboration.

I can see this on stage. So many wonderful elements. It's a sentiment that is powerful and the resolve of the message in the lyric has a grand presence in the music and vocals. Wonderfully put together. It's a journey and I enjoyed it very much!

Wow! This is a brilliant collaboration! The poetry of the words and the message of empowering strength despite the challenges is so positive! Love the change up between sections and the power in the hook and chorus. Great percussion and layers. Awesome piano and gorgeous vocals! Incredible!
