Saw Cindys lyric and just had to have a go. i had limited time and it still neads a bit of work but i hoe you get the drift of this fine lyric - i love that F#m
Lyrics:
Seems I kept on driving
Even knowing the bridge was out
Seems I had no brakes
Didn't wanna try another route
Seems I kept going
Even if the signs said turn around
Seems I had no knowledge
And wouldn't go anywhere but down
Chorus
Will I ever learn
That fire burns?
Will I ever stop on the mark?
Will I ever understand
The beat of the band
Or always remain in the dark?
Seems like I kept flying
Even knowing that I would fall
Seems I kept running
Never being able to catch the ball
Seems like I kept moving
Even knowing I'd lost my way
Seems like I kept looking
Same reasons different day
Chorus
Will I ever learn
That fire burns?
Will I ever stop on the mark?
Will I ever understand
The beat of the band
Or always remain in the dark?

Wow! This is fabulous!! The guitar blows my mind and this is so much how I heard it in head-but better!! Awesome! Thanks!
I really like the beat, and guitar rhythm. Easy to listen to that music. You put a set of great lyrics into the music, seems effortless. Makes a great song.
The music really makes the lyrics shine. Nice collab.
sounds like a sensitive country ballad sung to an aggressive rock beat. interesting how you captured both qualities in one version.
This is a very good collaboration. Well done to both of you.
Beautiful collaboration. Lyrics and music are very spirituatlly connected. A pleasure to listen to.
Fantastic playing very clean
I like Mr. Cool's smooth, sensitive sounding vocal delivery on Cindy's great lyric but I also love the guitar playing which really has a rock vibe to it. Overall, a good collaboration. Enjoyed lthe listen.
Toe-tappingly good stuff...tight R&R with great lead guitar and of course...Cindy's finely crafted lyrics!
Particularly wonderful lyrics, Cindy. Really liked these in particular!
John, you must have been particularly inspired by these words--as I was. Very nice arrangement/performance!
Such a great insightful lyric that rocks with such a great country flow by John. Love the chorus questions. Fantastic collaboration! Cool guitar solo!
