Liner Notes:

Saturday morning superskirmish. This turned out fun!! Great backup prompt by Alex: Coffee/Tea. I love both, and drink to much probably.

Lyrics:

V1:
We used to share our java passion
With an early cup or two
The latest beans that were in fashion
We'd grind and smell and brew

PRE:
But since you've taken a step away
"You found another" that's what you say
Our Nespresso thinks you haven't got a clue

CH:
I miss my morning coffee
My morning coffee with you
Since you switched to tea
Not much left I can do
When I hear the whistle
Of that kettle calling
I shake my head and feel blue
I miss my morning coffee
My morning coffee with you

V2:
I'm so alone at the kitchen counter
Brewing one for me
I can't imagine who'll I'll encounter
With her fancy cup of tea

PRE:
You used to love a mug of Joe
But now you say that you're in the know
I guess I'll shrug my shoulders, let it be

CH:
I miss my morning coffee
My morning coffee with you
Since you switched to tea
Not much left I can do
When I hear the whistle
Of that kettle calling
I shake my head and feel blue
I miss my morning coffee
My morning coffee with you

Love the jaunty piano for this. Curse you tea!

Sweetly comedically romantic, and terrific, bouncy piano! Also, I really like the chorus lyric about "When I hear the whistle / Of that kettle calling / I shake my head and feel blue"!

Oh that piano bounce! I am jealous of everyone who can play piano!
Lovely melody evoking 70s piano ballads and the wryly humorous lyric makes this one a keeper I think!

Nice piano.

Your take on a "breakup" song strikes me as completely hilarious. (And I mean that in the best way possible. Smile )

ohhhhhhhh, I love me a good guy-with-piano song! I can totally hear this playing in my local shop. Smile
The double meaning behind her switching to tea is unfortunate. Poor guy... The upbeat-ness paired with the rather sad lyrics is well played. (well played, hehehehe...)

This is delightful! I love the bouncy piano, and the tragic story of a friend switching to tea is really cute. Definitely made me smile - great work!

Ha. This is a fun song...coffee and tea as rivals. It's funny how some people "break up" with coffee after many years being "in the know"! A delightful melody and I enjoyed the playful piano as well! Great skirmish!

The piano is great. Of course I thought the chosing another meant she left you and laughed out loud when it was the coffee she was leaving behind. Funny. Loved the chorus!

A sprightly tune, very catchy, and I love the twist at the end!

Had me at piano! Sweet, fun but wistful take on the prompt. Super impressive for a skirmish and I think it's my pick of the lot!

Super catchy vocal melodies and that piano is bright and fun.
Great lyrics also - just realized this was a skirmish track; impressive write. Especially dig the chorus.
