Liner Notes:

Grand silliness. Skirmish.

Title change! Is that legal? Pick a Card, Pick a Card was the old title and line.

Lyrics:

Pick a Card, Any Card

Pick a card, any card
Ah, the Jack of Spades
He's handsome as the devil
In his hundred dollar shades
But his eyes tend to wander
To every Vegas hotel maid
Come to find you're just like him
The deceitful Jack of Spades

You're suited as a card sharp
It's really not so hard
Merely choose another
Pick a card, any card

Pick a card, any card
The kinky Three of Clubs
You took a walk on the wild side
But it was never really love
She laid you on a spread of green
And there you found the rub
She brought along a friend to play
The tempting Three of Clubs

You're suited as a card sharp
It's really not so hard
Merely choose another
Pick a card, any card

Pick a card, any card
Ah, yes, the Queen of Hearts
First she smiled so sweetly
Then aimed her poison dart
You acted like you didn't care
And therein lies the art
She played you like a gambler
The deadly Queen of Hearts

You're a conjurer in a game of chance
All in, call or fold
But when you're in the blinds
Any two of a kind
Still beats an ace in the hole

Really like how you picked specific cards and characterised them. And "she played you like a gambler" is a GREAT line!

Incredibly well done for a skirmish lyric, Ed! Heck, even if it weren't for a skirmish!

Wow, Ed. This came out really damn good, especially for a skirmish and the time pressure. Hope you get around to putting this one to music--I think the words will flow fantastically and tune options will jump out for you.

This is so clever. And this was a skirmish? Nice job! It's got great rhythm to the lines and the "characters" are well drawn out! Ha. Amusing and fun.
