Lyrics:

A/C white noise all night
Air outside is still
Streetlights on an empty road
Flash cards with one side filled
Dear Abby, can you tell me
What my parents might have said?
Dear pen pal, do you remember
What you wrote or what you read?

Lighter through the world I go,
But is it light or hollow?

TV in a hotel room,
A pillow on the floor
Chair pulled back from the table
A key without a door
Would you know me in a snowstorm,
With the lights out, in the cold?
Are we changing? Are we dying?
Will we be loved when we're old?

Lighter through the world I go,
But is it light or hollow?

Kids who pray cause they're afraid
That they'll be left behind
Dogs who never doubt that they
Are loved, and love in kind

Lighter through the world I go,
But is it light or hollow?

I really like the style and structure here. I like the way it flits around to come back to the same point. Very good write.

Really potent lyric. Let me know if you add music to it!

Powerful words. Really nice song writing.

Great lyric, again, - easily musicated, esp 1+1. Your vocal would sound great gang-vocaled with other; some ad hoc folk-hand instruments dubbed in if even later. Sounds like fun stuff, if hearing correctly into, ahead of it.
