Prompt: Hideaway

A prompt from last night that I found this morning
A very quick lyric that needs to work

Lyrics:

hideaway of her heart
V1
it was kind of crazy
thirty years had passed
she sipped her morning coffee
contemplating that
thinking about changes
remembering way back
to endless loving nights
she thought would last

PC1
now they sleep in different rooms in different beds
affection is sweet but loving exists only in her head
creating open space... space in her heart

C
secret lovers dwelled...
in the hideaways
of their hearts
fantasies swelled...
in the hideaways
of their hearts

in the hideaways
of their hearts
thar are tearing
them apart

V2
it was not intended
in his marriage plan
he worked from dawn to dusk
a busy business man
thinking about his wife
amid work affairs he had
he saw it as inevitable
as learned from his dad

PC2
now he visits different rooms with hotel beds
meeting lovers with his wife cared for in his head
creating open space..space in his heart

C
secret lovers dwelled...
in the hideaways
of their hearts
fantasies swelled...
in the hideaways
of their hearts

in the hideaways
of their hearts
thar are tearing
them apart

You've definitely got something with this. The image of a hideaway for a heart really appeals to me - something that would have come in very useful over the years. The idea of romance only being something that we find ourselves looking back on also hits home. Sad
