Liner Notes:

I'm hearing country. Skirmish prompt: Hideaway

Lyrics:

Hideaway

I'm not brining my pills
When I head for the hills
Cuz the peace and quiet will heal me
I crave a retreat
To feel complete
A change would set me free

I need a hideaway, hideaway
Somewhere I can escape
I need a hideaway, hideaway
Where I can gather myself and reshape

Recharge the batteries
Far from all the large crowds
Cuz the noise can suck the life right out
In a subdued state
Is what sounds great
Long past time to checkout

I need a hideaway, hideaway
Somewhere I can escape
I need a hideaway, hideaway
Where I can gather myself and reshape

A week, a month, a year or two
Maybe I won't come back
How bout you?

I need a hideaway, hideaway
Somewhere I can escape
I need a hideaway, hideaway
Where I can gather myself and reshape

I've always been tempted to go disappear in the wilderness and hopefully never come back, so this struck a chord with me, but alas I always do come back even if some of those excursions have gotten pretty long Biggrin hahahah this is great! I was hooked from those first two lines Biggrin

I can relate to the need to escape from the rat race, I sort of had the same basic idea in my lyric. I really like the bridge where maybe you don't come back at all - my wife and I joke about moving to Paris and never coming back. Nice skirmish.

That sounds lovely. I could hear country here for sure, with the yearning for the country.

The peace and quiet does indeed heal. The section that starts, "Recharge the batteries" is spot on. We are all long past due for a break.
I think I might need a decade though! See ya later!
