Liner Notes:

I nicked the title from an exhibition poster which I saw on my way home. I thought that was a glorious pun, then I started singing to myself, and before I knew my brain had the next song ready. All on a quick bike ride.

The recording was made in my garden shed with a minimal setup:
Laptop with Logic Pro, Höfner Shorty traveler guitar, iRig2 interface, headset (which I used for singing), phone

The guitar that sets in for verse 2 is a phone recording of my travel guitar, not plugged in, no amplifier, just the naked ambient noise.

The lyrics are just what came to mind. But I had to think of the QAnon weirdos. I read an analysis about what motivates them. One aspect was their desire to be part of historic events, so I had to think of them.

Lyrics:

Big things are coming, coming (4x)

You didn't know by now, but there's a look in your eyes
yes you can feel something is gonna happen tonight
You didn't know by now, but there's a look in your eyes
yes you can feel something is gonna happen tonight

Big things are coming, coming
Big things are coming, coming
Big things are coming, they're happening
Big things are coming, everything

You didn't know by now, but there's a look in your eyes
yes you can feel something big is gonna happen tonight
You didn't know by now, but there's a look in your eyes
yes you were told something big is gonna happen tonight

Big things are coming, coming (4x)
Soon

Great beat, and I really like the doubled vocals. I like the instrumentation a lot, the piece evolves as it goes on and builds really well. The guitar is epic! Nice job.

Excellent production. Amazing what you can do in a garden shed!

Really digging the arrangement, particularly the unexpected and ma-HOO-sive breakdown from the two minute mark. That really hit the spot.

Aside from the QAnon context, this flourishes double entendres on a scale not seen since the days of Kenneth Williams and Sid James. Totally unintentionally, I'm sure.

Great beat and production! This is good in so many ways: catchy, a little dark, and that break at 2:20 hits hard--it's like a release I was waiting for without knowing it. Excellent work.

Besides what the others said I like the contrast between the unemotional voice while singing "Big things are coming" and the other lines. Well, I hoped for some massive guitars entering later in the track and I wasn't disappointed... Wink

This is really good, lyrics are pretty good for something that just came to mind. Production is really effective and clear, the simple works well. That's a big hit at 2:20 with a quick drop into the verse, very effective. Enjoyed it!
