Liner Notes:

It's been a bit stormy over here over the last couple of days. On Wednesday (12th August) the thunderstorm that popped up at about 6 pm was incredible, with thunder that rumbled continuously for nearly an hour. So OF COURSE I recorded it, then threw some piano and a string arrangement at it.

Local woodpigeon on guest vocals. Percussion by a wasp that bumped into the Tascam DR-40 I was using to record the storm.

Please keep your comments respectful, honest, and constructive. Please focus on the song and not the demo.

I love thunder storms. I love the inclusion of live rain ambient in this and the juxtaposition of the high piano/pads and the low strings. Creates this sense of revealing and openness. It's really pretty. I also like how it sort of wanders around tonally speaking. It ambles from major to minor to heavier dissonances and doesn't ever really resolve. Very cool!

Never did get the storms forecast where I am. Sounds like you got a good one. The storm recording makes for a great backdrop to the music.

Great meditative instrumental.

-- I'm a fan of experimental sounds and integrating them. So, therefore the dog barks, industrial, real life sounds, but for me, -- should be real time recorded. And so, dzd in Oklahoma had some fierce flat land storms and apologized for the "noise", -- I suggested putting a mic against the roof and etc. and integrating it.

Anyway, great stuff you got there.

So pretty! So relaxing......yet with the tension of that thunder there, it gives you that peril of nature just outside the window....
