Ah, those things we want but can never reach...

Lyrics:

Horizon chaser

F#m C#m
You are the horizon

F#m C#m
I've been sailing to

F#m C#m
I, a boy wanted by none

F#m C#m
cast into the ocean

F#m C#m
Swept away by my only love,

F#m C#m
to the whims of its tide

F#m C#m F#m C#m
I never turn for the shore, my eyes are just fixed on you!

E C#m
Don't move away from me!

E C#m
Don't keep away from me!

F#m C#m
Oh why can't I hold you?

F#m C#m
I've watched many setting suns

F#m C#m
and stars spring up from above

F#m C#m
None shines brighter than you my love,

F#m C#m
the one telling my north

E C#m
Don't move away from me!

E C#m
Don't keep away from me!

F#m C#m
Oh why can't I hold you?

C#m com 4
The current's embrace is so cruel

F#m F#com 7
Oh why can't I hold you?

F#m F#com 7
Oh why can't I hold you?

F#m F#com 7
Oh why can't I hold you?

F#m F#com 7
Oh why can't I hold you?

F#m C#m
Oh why can't I hold you?

C#m com 4
Why?

Oh wow, not what I was expecting!! You have a real power house of a voice.

Ooh nice dramatic track, the melody is awesome. It goes into the chorus very smoothly. Love when the guitar bursts in and the drums get a little crazier. Good listen!

Very dramatic!

Excellent sounds and wow the vocals are powerful.

Good start!

Thats a monster! In the nicest possible way! Great vocals over that pretty piano, so dramatic.

so good to hear your voice again. you keep getting better with every year. some powerful orchestration as well. i especially love the way you sing the lines, beginning with dont move away from me.

Wow! Certainly was taken a-back with this powerhouse of a song. So much emotion poured into the lyrics. Your vocals and the orchestration are a winning combination. I'm loving this very much.

Was getting a Melotron vibe from those opening chords. The piano is fantastic and when the strings come back in with the drums for the chorus: powerful. I love the juxtaposition of dynamics from the verses to the chorus. Wonderfully done!

Quite an interesting melange of the serene and the epic. I feel like I'm captaining a ship that is destined to wipe out an entire civilsation on the coast of a warm sea... and then, to my surprise, went ahead and did. You're awfully good at this, and I intend to listen to more of your work.

Masterful use of drama and suspense. This is punchy, crunchy, and direct. Not only could I see the storm, I imagined the clever set and wardrobe design. This is a different kind of raw power than rock and roll, yet it rocks. I really dig how the end presents itself, letting the audience commit to the mass of anguish and be settled in it, and still you manage to land it with a bit of surprise.

Dude, well done. It’s been a pleasure hearing your a cappella, as I was introduced to your music, but this is another dimension and it’s great.

Hot damn man, you can sing! Epic arrangement- beautifully produced and delivered. Great use of repetition in the lyrics. Really fits the message.

Rock-Operatic power here. WOW. That chorus just explodes with power. Awesome arrangement.

Epic dramatic, and powerful. I can hear the gothic, the metal, the operatic, and the symphonic all in there, working together beautifully.

Alexandre, this is an epic in the making! Operatic powerful. And the dynamics are excellent, particularly the shift to and from the solo piano. And the despair at the end! Bravo! Applause!

I really enjoyed how the yearning in the lyric gets wrapped up with the powerful vocal and instrumentation. Soft moments mixed with big ones. Very dramatic! Cool stuff!

Awesome job! Incredible vocal here, and I love the musical arrangement. I hope you're staying safe in Brazil. My daughter-in-law and a girlfriend (here in the Washington, DC area) are both from there. I've been once and loved the country. Keep up the good work!!

I really enjoy the unabashed theatricality of this, the soaring drama and passion, the utter *grandeur*. Both poppy and operatic, this is crossover classical at its finest, and would make an incredible music video!

You really throw yourself into the song. The big arrangement fits very well.

Loving how the song slowly starts and swells. The bittersweet piano harmonies and the big sound that follows support your theme and vocals perfectly - these ones are romantic and dramatic, coming out some deep place in you, gives me goosebumps... Clutching at straws, singing one's soul out, radiating the will to keep going on ; your personal orchestra holds mystic vibes. Horizon chaser but light spreader also. Delightful.

Nice intro and then the switch up to piano and singing, really great build up of emotion at the end, the piano melody and your voice make a nice outro.
