BIO:

I was plucked from the icy bosom of the Wyoming rockies and dumped pell-mell amoungst the cultists of Salt Lake City. Here I have lived for the last 20 years in love with my town and the wonderful wierd folks who live here. I am a country boy turned city slicker. I am the last boyscout. I am the embodiment of passionate strangeness. I am the vanguard of the heavymetal filkers. I am making a valient effort to suck every drop of bitter ambrosia out of life.

Before I started this madness I had written one whole song. I don't play any instruments, and can not read music. Given such a starting point we will see what can be done. Quasar T, how about that, I was reading the lyrics to your song IMPACT (excuse me, I was LISTENING to it in my head), digging it, and was thinking, "Damn, what a tale, wonder what Hank Jr. could do with a song like that..."

Thanks for the comment, and yeah, with the time-frame we have, I hope to have audio for many of the songs I'm writing lyrics for now. And, as I realize that Mendelssohn wrote "Songs Without Words", words without music are at best poetry. Some of my submissions will be fleshed out versions of FAWM 2011 lyrics (that "counted", but weren't finished and without tune) with more developed form that people can listen to and hopefully say "Yeah, I like that!"

Love the lyrics on IMPACT, it drew me in and reinforced my phobia of heights greater than my height! Scary.....;)

Man, I'm glad I share that experience with someone although it's funny how much counterfeited money we might have all handled and just not known. I dig your lyrics very clever and imaginative. Also introduced me to filk which after doing a little bit of web research I find quite intriguing.
