Hi again Leslie, I checked out your website - very nice.
I see you are a champion of Mother Nature, I just put up a vocal guide for an idea that you can run with if you wanted.
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/10709

Hi Leslie, it appears you have a fondness for Star Trek, as does yours truly. LOL
I do have an old funny piece about Capt. Kirk that I could send you, if you want. It's a rhyming piece, so it may be able to be put to music.
Just let me know.
Cheers,
John

Ha ha, no worries! I wrote a much less-entertaining pop song, maybe 2 years ago for 50/90, about a princess hopping down from her window sill, going into town, and getting her accounting degree.

You're writing a lot of great material here, you're on fire!!!

Hi again...would you mind contacting me: nrgproductions @ me dot com. I have a favor I'd like to ask of you in regards to said song Kristian and I are working on.

Hi Leslie. Thanks for stopping by. The Kiss is the song that follows Let Them Hear. And congrats on the progression of music. I'll be back for listening, sonic goodness as soon as I finish up Kristian's tune.

"Worse in the winter"--Yep, I left it with the muse last night and she had a lyric about 2/3 written this morning. Now if I have enough smarts to write the rest, I'll post it.
Thanks Leslie

another run-in??? do tell!

i had written something, along with a melody, and ran into recording probs, which just added to my general funk. sorry, i should have gotten back to you... let me see if i can pull it togther this week.

"""Dangerous as the night is long. So we're worse in the winter""""L O L Leslie----There's gotta be a hook in there somewhere

oh I'll use drums allright :) Don't you worry hehe

funny fact: my wife said the exact same thing ... more drums! She demands that I make it longer and have drums on it.. what is it with you women and drums? geez... and the only reason I ask you to do 3 takes is so I can use some more space on my harddrive.. you see, I have too much free space available at the moment :)

Hi Leslie, thanks for all the kind comments on my songs. I've put up a new demo of a song, Arthur Rossi lyrics, Paul Milne music and vox:

You're very welcome, and it was a pleasure to meet you as well! You have a wonderful voice.

I'm definitely convinced to make every effort to be at next year's. :)

You have such a ridiculously great voice. It was great to meet you this weekend.

Well well, a collab it is then if I can get my act together. Can you contact me through the contact button up by my name on my page and we'll discuss how to make it happen? Music and lyrics and stuff. I'm wide open. Hooray!

Hey! I don't have rabies!

btw: I was thinking of turning Scarlet Oak into a trance tune.. ok?

:)

Thank you Leslie for your beautiful comment on My Moody Dance. So happy you like it. It was fantastic to collaborate with Kristian :)

yes Les.... yes, you are right... you know, I could eaaaasily do 50 songs if you weren't on my case all the time ;)

and thanks for the comment explosion! *kaboom*!

Aw geez, well thanks for all your wonderful comments and listens. I'm regretting collabs I didn't do at FAWMstock and that means you, Leslie! I know you're album busy right now, so... next year?

Those lyrics are superb! Have messaged you on FB...

Hi ho Leslie, here's my Star Wars song for your ears. :) Much more fun than me attempting it live. I think you'll hear why...

http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/8946

It probably would, but let's first see if I have an actual idea for it. :p
I'll send you another message if I come up with something. :)

LOL, Leslie, we can all suffer together through music :D

great songs! really enjoying them!

Hi Leslie, The Modern Robin Hood demo is up now: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7926

Listening to "Snips & Snails" again thanks to this thread >> http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/content/fawm-and-5090-people-you-listen-season Made me remember your album. Ha. Downloading it again.

Hi Leslie, you should really check out expendable friend, I think you'll love her work: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7371

Hiya Leslie! I saw your comment on Das Binky's song so I stopped over to say I'm glad to see you're writing this summer.

Leslie, thought you might like this collab, my lyrics, Shannon's music:

I Want It All
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7433

Thanks! It is annoying to the tenth power.

Leslie, I sent a message via your site.

went into the lion's den today, re: our answer back song. to learn more...

I'm still kinds sick, but think i'll be back to writing this weekend. Cheers!

Thanks for droppin' a line on "What Might Have Been, What Might Be".. I may not do too many more tracks this summer.. so tell the world to check out this one... lol... (help a brotha out)

Thank you, thank you, Leslie!

Hi, Leslie,
I've added you to my watchlist since visiting your website. It is delightful.

Hi Leslie, no, He-Man was a little after my time, though I think it was still on when my kids were little ... anyway I know the references and I know the KIND of plot-lines etc. that permeate this kind of cartoon.

Thanks for the further comment on the Poppies demo. I was thinking this morning about "where the wheat meets the grass" as some sort of liminal zone where culture meets wild nature, and where most of the important things in life happen in that space.

Haha sorry for scaring you, your comment on Our Odd Tendencies amused me greatly :D

Hi, just to let you know the demo for Poppies is up now: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/6733

I'm originally a Munster man myself, from Cork. Thank you so much for that lovely comment on the song, by the way. Also, I was forced to learn Irish for 14 years, and while I can read perfectly, I can't understand a word. The bulk of the country is like this. It couldn't be taught in a worse way here. It's a shame, as it is a beautiful language, and I only realised that recently. Have you ever listened to much Joanna Newsom? She is from California, but you can really hear the influence of traditional Irish vocal styles. It permeates her album Ys in particular. I always find it interesting when people from outside of Ireland take on the influence of Irish trad.

Good... maybe you'd want to do a lyric sometime of mine... David

Hey Leslie thanks for the comment, also yes it is very muchly winter here :P
Good luck for your summer :)

Thank you! I have half a demo up, now. And I am in total awe of your one-take live recordings :).

Hi Leslie, thank you for taking the time to listen and comment on "look for magic" your comments are very much appreciated.

Glad you're around this time.....uh...around

Hi Leslie, thanks for the comment on "Poppies", i'll be getting the demo up very soon. It's all worked out on my head, just need to set up the mikes!

I'm a fan, wolf.

Thank you for the kind comments on "so many things". look forward to listening to some of your songs.
