'Gravity is a habit that is hard to shake off.' - Terry Pratchett

thanks for commenting on so many of my songs by the way! Just a quick note to say i finally added the demo for this one, enjoy! :-)

Hey Kristian! Thanks a lot for your kind comment on "Two Souls"... I was very glad to read it! :-)

RE: zombies. No, not me. It's Freesound to the rescue! Also got the dog barks and the chainsaws from there... man, what a great resource that is... :)

Thanks for your note! I'm sorry I've not heard all your stuff either yet, so no need to feel bad :-)

Hey Kristian - you hoped somebody would work on FenderTele71's "Tormented Soul". That somebody was me...:

Thank you for taking the time to listen and to leave such a kind comment. I'm flattered.
I took a listen to some samples of your work as well and I enjoyed very much what I heard - and I plan to hear some more soon. I've added you on soundcloud so I can keep up with your new work.
A pleasure to come into contact with your music,
wolf.

What!?! Who!?! The nerve of whoever that someone was that sent all them vocal stems. Muahahahaha! All good, indeed. Next go round I'm sure he'll cut back considerably....maybe.

Great big giant thumbs up,dude. Track is killin'. Niiiiiiiiice.

It doesn't look good, I'm afraid! I'm still a couple of weeks off having internet at my new flat, and haven't set up my recording gear yet. Next time!

Almost there....

I like this woman who married you. A wise lady. :) You're not going to take this out on me by refusing to put percussion on the CD, are you? Don't engulf me in strings!

Actually, speaking of strings, I am getting back into my violin. I want to play rock fiddle! But give me a year or so. That'll work out.. we might not be finished by then. ;)

Pretty, yes? I love all the stuff going on in The Decision. But there should be more drums.. ;) Haha.. See? I bug other people, too, about putting in more drums. The harmonies were done with Antares Harmony Engine (part of the AutoTune suite), so Binky tells me. All I did was sing it once. ONCE. Not THREE times, like some people make me. :D (smirk, smirk, smirk)

Hey there, finally checking in, I have been so crazy busy with this soundtrack I've regrettably been "that guy" this time around that doesn't listen to or comment on others' work (I know, tar and feather me, I deserve it). Hoping to have some time to do that next week while I'm on vacation, W00T!! You're very high on my list of people to listen to though, of course, and I know I'll get to yours as time appears...

Scarlet Oak as trance? Hmmmm... That could work! Now, have I called your bluff or were you trying to "seethe" me? I spent 4 days in close proximity to rock and metal, and more guitars than I've ever seen assembled outside a music store, and somehow they have combined to dislodge the piano from her pedestal, making me less than wary about losing her from centre stage in every song. Help! The guitarists are poisoning my musical sensibilities!

Yes! I have now caught up on all your songs. Wonderful stuff, all around. It's too bad you're so busy working on our CD that you don't have time to do more, eh? Eh?! ;)

The autotune helps ;-)

Sounds great.. thanks.. you guys rocked it..David

It sounds awesome! Yay!

Prepare for lyrics and massive amounts of vocal sampling! LET'S GET READY TO RRRRUMBLE!

Alright...dry vocal stems it shall be. Actually that makes my job a bit easier.

Meant to tell you that I got the "package" and methinks this is gonna kick some pants...deep. I'm still playing around with lyrics and we'll have something cooking soon.

Thanks for your nice comment on "Lights!" I did use some autotune--in some places it's a little more obvious than I'd like it to be, but that can be fixed in a later stage (when it's not 3 in the morning and I have time to warm up my voice :p). Glad you liked it!

You know, the first few times I heard Ellie Goulding's stuff I wasn't crazy about it, but she's really grown on me lately. Her voice is so unique.

So hey, would you like to get started on that collab? :)

Thanks for your nice comment on Rag and Bone Man! (new version coming soon, I hope)

You were kidding, right? Not sure if it works??? It's absolutely fantastic!!! You are a genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so, so much for your amazing collaboration dear Kristian! I absolutely love your work! You are fantastic!

Hey man. Thanks for stopping by. I'll be glad to make jelly, but give me about another week. I've got some folks who have been waiting patiently while I get my gear in place and finish our collaborations. Meanwhile, if you come up with some ideas, shoot 'em my way. I'm pretty easy to work with. :-)

It's all CTS's doing! :) A brilliant muso!

Thanks for the comment frenzy. :)
Also, MIDI Guitar = http://www.yourockguitar.com/

Thanks for all the nice comments!
To answer your questions: the vocoder is in the program Ableton Live. The guitar and most everything else on all these songs is sampled so far. Sometimes I go back and add real horns and stuff, but probably won't for these cheesy tv show themes.
Also, do you really code games? That would be awesome.

Hi Kristian, just checked on "My Love's in Charleston" and it's playing fine on my end, but sorry about the complications!

OK, I pick... 'No opinion please'. If that's not the answer you wanted, feel free to do the other one instead ;-)

Hi Kristian - did you get the lyrics I sent through for the McTown thing? Not chasing, but my emails have been caught up in some people's spam folders so just wanted to check it got through safely!

Hey, hey Kristian! Super love your profile pic. :)
--- Thanks for the compliment. Nadia writes the most beautiful compositions. It was wonderful to be able to sing to her music.

Hey...just caught your comment on Monkey. I think I am going to mix that again but sidechain the kick to the bass AND turn the bass down a smidge. That should allow the kick to speak better and even out the frequencies. Thanks for the constructive criticism!

Hey Kristian. :)

Thanks loads for taking the time to listen and comment. In answer to some of your comments and questions, I play some of the instruments and use soundfonts and samples for the rest. ;)

The two new synths are Helix (which is just a beast!) and Ironhead from Ugo. I also used a couple of Ugo effects, Tunguska and Metallurgy.

hey..thats cool...i have to try and get a tune ready...been very lazy lately...

thanks for comments and encouragement.. why would you need garageband?? it is for novices like me ;)

You must use something complicated.. logic? protools? Ableton? et.c

Thanks for the comment explosion! The keytar stuff is mostly auto-accompaniment with properly-played lead bits over the top... and everything stuffed through a delay pedal, of course! I can't take too much credit, my actual keyboard-playing skills are more like those displayed in 'Glamorous Flea' - wobbly, shaky chords and big pauses!

hey Kristian how are ye? gee you have a good bit of stuff done...fair play. do you have an email or something if ye still wanted to try a collab? sorry for delayed response..been bit all over the place lately...

you are a genius.. GENIUS!

thanks for your comments... I was exhausted when I sand 'Sleep'... was going to rerecord, but daughter thought it was suitable! :)

I do indeed like it.. but then its all out of time and weird.. can I have the track to re-record and fix it?? That would be cool..

Oh snap! I'm only up to two and here you are with FIVE!? How dare you be so productive :)

Well...shucks...thanks for the amazing comments... :)

Thank you so much dear Kristian. So happy you are collaborating with me on this music. Adding you as collaborator :)
Enjoy a beautiful Sunday :)

Hello Kristian, I wonder if this piece would be a possibility for a collaboration. Would you please kindly let me know. Thank you :)
http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/7281

wow that'd be amazin...thanks...i'll send you an emailien very soon...

Hi Kristian.

Got your email and replied, but I'm not sure whether you got it. My phone went "strange" as it was sending. Basically I just said "yes" to both of your first two suggestions and "let me think" to your third suggestion... ;)

Wow! Thank you, Kristian. I don't think I've ever had a reaction quite like yours to my music before!

It made me feel kinda warm and snuggly inside. :)

How about we work on something together?
