BIO:

My dear friends, i just can't seem to pull out of my funk here this summer. feeling it like a weight in my heart, but the pressure has got to me; i've thrown out dozens of song buds, and that can't be good. maybe it was being sick for two months straight, maybe it's the hands pulling at me everywhere IRL. i don't feel i have much to give, i guess.
maybe i'm just burnt out for awhile; but i'm bowing out of creating here till Feb. i'll still be listening (more) and checking in. if anything changes, i'll let you know!

If you've never cooked a fresh pumpkin for a pie, just try it!

HH, I have musicified your poem/song "Spade and Seed". A bit nervous, hope you like it!

I thought you'd like "Whipped", HH. The boys are scared, but I think you get it. ;)

Hi H H. I heard somewhere that you were going to be "Normal" by the time FAWM got here---Won't that be kinda ...... DULL!!??
Sorry, Couldn't resist :)

Kay, FAWM it is

And where is your voice then, tray pell?

""""""""""""You're almost there!
Thanks for the lemons, but I dropped them into a pan of roasting potatoes instead! They were delicious.
""""""""""""""""""""""""
Yep, on almost there--I owe it for a couple that didn't really qualify, but I wanta' get done early so I can coast a little
Good on the lemons and good to see you back aboard

Wanna try co-writing a song?

Yeah, c'mon H H, how about a little warm up run on the tail end of 50/90 so you'll be ready to go on FAWM?
I'll even send you a start I don't think I'm gonna' use- should fit right in for you
""""""""""""
Lemonade

I'm so broke can't even buy lemons
So I can't make lemonade
That's what they say to do
When life is down on you
But I can't even make lemonade

OK. So it's not much of a start--It's the "mood" that's important :)
Maybe you could be "down" so much you can't even reach up to the lemon squeezer

Hi HH! You still interested in writing that song we talked about? I had another run-in with the guy, which fanned the embers again. :/

Hi Mari, have you had any bites on musicifying "Spade and Seed", or are you working on it yourself? If not I'd like to have a stab - I hear it as a southern gothic number, and I have 3 string cigar box guitar I'm dying to try out!

Hi HH, thanks for comment on "The Modern Robin Hood". Not sure where that one came from, just some vague phrases and ideas finally coalesced into a story. Glad you liked it!

Thanks for the comment on Flesh To Flesh H H
I don't know if I'd read your bio page but it sounds like you've been having a hard time in general. I'll look for you on FAWM but I hope your reappearance here means you're going to start posting again. Sometimes more activity is a good remedy for what ails us.
We kinda' operate in different styles but you always bring a fresh approach

Hi HH, thanks for stopping by to listen to Isle of May, hope it's got you dancing the hornpipe!

Hey, sorry I haven't been by yet this year, but I'm planning to put one of your songs to music sometime.

Hey! Thanks for checking out my Songwriting Lessons From Dante's Inferno ebook there--I'm glad you got something out of it! I'm about due to read the poem again. :)

Yeah I have great knowledge of ol' skool Hillsong's praise and worship songs. Funny, I even like my P&W like my secular music, early 90's. Just something about that decade.

Hey there! Nice to see you ;) The film is a tale that combines fantasy and food for thought, hard to describe but I will try to give details in my liner notes. I'll be back to check your songs. Cheers!

In that case, my voice is very, very badly out of tune. Can you recommend a good voice-tuner? D:

Thank you, though! I think at some point I will rustle up something vaguely resembling lyrics, but, uh, singing is really perhaps not my thing.

(Also, I like "Spade and Seed" a lot.)

Hey! I just wanted to thank you once again for having taken the time and commenting... Greetings!

Thinking hard about what you said about Cavia Cobaya and it needing some sort of incident...thanks

Hey Mari, thanks for the comments on "I Want It All" and "The Ghost of Woody Guthrie". Glad to see you back up and about, and looking forward to reading your latest lyrics x

Hi, I am here, Ms. Mari. Songs coming up soon.

Thanks for the time you took with my work.
You write a mean lyric yourself. Kudos.

I'm a fan,
wolf.

Hey girl! I'm glad this jealousy thing is a two-way street!! Much obliged for your comments. Nothing Texas in my life, but I did see True Grit several months ago, and I think that served as some impetus, once the initial seedball got rolling.

eheh thats a good one...bout the vacuum cleaner selling black out... how are things? i know that song is very loose...must try and practice a song and then record it..thanks though.. hope alls well with ye..

Hi, thanks a lot for the constructive criticism on "summer love"... it was very helpful. I tried to extinguish the flaws, hope it got better now, though for sure there`s still plenty room for improvements...

HH, hope you're starting to feel human again. The collabs almost feel like cheating on my part! Two really great interpretations of my lyrics, and I really didn't have to do anything but sit back and enjoy listening to them..

how does your cat stick to the carpeted wall like that?!

Hope you're feeling better. Take your time.. I'll still be sufficiently annoyed about the "situation" to put it to music when you have time/energy to put it into words. ;)

So, no flute and not quite the right voice, which means you are volunteering? :)

Thanks for saying hello! Those are four really vivid lines in your "Influences". Great job.

Thanks for the lovely feedback HH! Much appreciated :)

Power flute - a very interesting suggestion. So...you're volunteering?

"a cold margarita spilled down my sundress"... love that. It's the sundress that makes it.

Hi.

HH, thanks for the comment on Poppies - glad you like it!

Thank you much!

I really enjoyed your lyrics, by the way. Very poetic and poignant.

Thank you much for the encouragement!

Sorry I took so long to reply...I almost forgot about this thing LOL

Macintosh apples grow in Alabama, too. They will torque your jaw and they make the best fried pies......y'all have those up there, yankee?

Just thought I'd pass along my jumble of songs I'm listening to now....

Thursday Jumble: English Rain

Porcupine Tree – Fear of A Blank Planet
Rush—Camera Eye
Dum Dum Girls--He Gets Me High

Thank you, Heavy!
Cheers,
Blue

Thanks for the welcome and good luck to you!

Exploding Mary and Heavy Hedonist - when will we see the ultimate collaboration?

Yoo-hoo!

whipcrack whipcrack! If I can't create music instantly, don't believe it means YOU'RE off the hook....

Thanks mate! We'll see how much metal I'm gonna do this time. :)

Ah, now you post the kitty! :)

I just assumed you're a "sir", how stupid of me. Sorry!

Thank you, sir. You have a very nice cat. I have three.

Hey HH - yep, ready and rearing to go :D Figuring I'll try get in to the swing of things a little differently than last year; rather than not letting myself write and "use up" my creativity, trying to write as and when the muse hits in the weeks beforehand as a warm up... we'll see how it goes.

Hey, thanks for the compliment on "Blood in the Snow" -- that was actually a FAWM track : ) Never done 50/90 before, but did FAWM this past year. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the welcome!
