Soundboard

My approach to this is to focus on writing the songs and not on recording quality or additional instrumentation, the songs will be posted as written, the bare bones if the song is good it will sound ok if it is a weak effort then it may not sound so pleasing, so apologies in advance, anyway i'm going to give this a bash to see what it drags out of me.

i'm glad we got it together!!! i'm proud of that song.

you're brilliant for letting me know. I'm a bit drunk though, so comments may be strange :P

a) check your email, i sent you a note--

B) my APOLOGIES; rains is on your page because i added you as a collaborator, so that you can upload the demo with me as a collab. if you don't want to, that's okay--

off the top 'o my head, these seem like they have a comfy structure--

http://www.fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/4113/

http://www.fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/3960/

http://www.fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/4154/ those are all me, too, just my other self, haha...

or this is more upbeat:http://www.fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/4208/

but if none move you, i shall write some songs just to fit your excellent singing/songing.

i am so excited about this prospect!!!

i've been catching up and clearing my mental decks before getting back to collabs-- i hope to find something worthwhile for you to work on soon, if you are still up for it.if you have any ideas, let me know-- kozzle64@yahoo.com

re; havin a laugh-- i keep flashing on Ricky Gervais character in the series Extras, acting out his sitcom character: are you havin a laugh? is she havin a laugh??? because BBC is the only place i ever hear the phrase here in old USA.

Have just come across your songs and am really enjoying them. They are very impressive, the 'bare bones' approach works really well, your exxcellent playing and singing carries it off without any need for other instruments. Have you listened to Michael Marra? - a Dundee based songwriter with a similar style to yours. I grew up in East Kilbride and liked your Glasgow references.

Thanks so very much for the kind comments. I would love to get over to that side of the world so if it ever happens I would definately let you know :)

I've been on business travel off and on since 5090 started with only short stops back at home so missed you in the beginning, but now that I'm back for the remainder of 5090 I'll be keeping a close eye on what you post up. Love your music, really great stuff. :)

Thank you Amy, Groundhog and Wyatt for your very kind comments they are very encouraging makes me want to do more.

Groundhog, if you let me know which song that you like to play I will mark it as my favourite.

Amy, don't worry about my heart, I'm just another bleeding hearted songwriter.

Wyatt, if you have a lyric that you think would suit my style of delivery I would be happy to be that Celtic voice for you.

Thank you all.

I love your voice. It's just so perfect. I can't wait to listen to more of your songs! I actually keep playing one of your songs over and over again. I love it! :)

I had your newest song open all day in my browser window, and it took me until just now to get around to commenting, only to discover that two others beat me to it! I feel like I missed out on busting your zong :( Thanks for letting me know it was up though, it totally made my day. I may have to watchlist you, cos I very much enjoyed the new one too :D

Thanks for the comment on Though Hell Should Bar The Way.
Calum brought the story to life all right.
I wish we had more Celtic musicians on. I E'd one in Glasgow
by the name of Andy Dinnel who I knew from another site but it's been quite a while so he may have changed his addy.
Anyway I'll put up a lyric, I think should be Celtic in a day or two, (Well, it mentions the druids anyway :)

hey, thanks for putting the lyrics up, was good to see the story more clearly. Very cool, though now you have two songs about a girl having left you and ended up with someone else, and that makes my heart hurt :( I hope that hasn't really happened, cos that would be very very sad.
still love your songs though :)

please keep writing, I love listening to your songs :)
