INFLUENCES:Been crate digging for old Garage tracks, late 80's early 90's Chicago House and Detroit Techno. Trip-hop as well...trying to get my hands on lots of Mo'Wax releases...I've been putting together a 2 hour set of trip-hop, garage, chill/deep dubstep, chillout, downtempo etc for Sirius Rising festival...listening to a lot of alt country and "outlaw" country. Drum and Bass is what got me into wanting to make music (Goldie, Doc Scott, Ed Rush & Optical that lot...that sound...) got interested in Dubstep recently (Mala, Coki, Gothtrad, Skream, Benga, Kode 9, Burial, James Blake, etc)... ...then I got on this F@*! genre thing and just started writing melodies and stuff to go along w/ melodies. : )

BIO:

Got some really good tracks from my pitiful 9 out of 50 tunes for 50/90 so far...have abandoned 50/90 this year in the hopes of digitally releasing and EP sometime this fall. So, working on getting those just right. Will probably be around to share some love comments wise.

Thanks for working with me on a song....David

How I'm recording here. Once I have a feel for what I'm after, I play live using piano or a sustaining organ/string depending on what sort of music. I have Notation COmposer running usually with a metronome which I listen to when appropriate and ignore when not: the performance is MIDI recorded. I then use the notation as a map, and either (when I'm being serious) replay, or layer, or as in most of the current stuff simply edit the notation until the pregnant pauses, stops and restarts, and seriously wrong notes are gone. Because my keyboard is rather industrial as a piano, I almost always use a good piano sample through the sequencer for the audio recording.

Thanks for the detailed comment on Triple Black, esp. the technical. I smiled because at the very last I took the edge off the top end so it didn't ache in earphones. Then I realised the problem was the earlier too high dB which I'd already corrected. Too late! Next!

Hi :)

Saw your call for possible collabs and thought I'd come and say hello. I've added you to my watch list and will be taking a listen as soon as I'm home from the office.

Kind regards,

DD

Aha! I knew there was at least one person here who made bass music... Not that I do. I just play with sequencers... :P I really dig Ten Sensai (and as Heavy Hedonist said below, Blood in the Snow). I'm looking forward to hearing your stuff!

i dug Blood on the Snow, BTW.

Welcome to the 50/90 then-- i take it you are new. i've done a couple before.

we can always use more poets!
