"... You may want to re-think the beer reference. ... "

hehe, Unfortunately I had just listened to You and Tequila and I guess I had to slip something to drink in!

Thanks for the comment on "If I Could Touch the Sky". Thank you for the song title. I was really expecting someone to write a Jimi Hendrix song because I heard today was the 41st anniversary of his death. Then I thought about the astronauts on the shuttle that exploded. Neither one had anything to do with my idea, but I figured I'd mention them. Thank goodness for songskirmish schedules or I might not have gotten much posted this time around. Thanks for hosting this afternoon.

Funny you mention Simon and Garfunkel on this. When I was noodling a prospective chord progression for this yesterday, I suddenly hit on 5-6 chord progression that I liked, but that sounded kind of familar... after 30 seconds or so, I realized I was playing Paul Simon's "American Tune".

So I backed up three chords and hung a left. But those first couple of chords are still there, and now every time they pass by, I think of that song...

So you heard correctly! ;-)

"perhumps" is the word of the day! :)
sweet of you to bring that invitation up. it was a very casual suggestion, not meant to put you on the spot in any way, so please treat as such. altho i would delight in it if it does enter your musey domain. as for me, i'd been having a sticky doldrum, and your skirmish helped snap me out of it, so i owe ya one. ;)

Hi Corinne! :) Thanks very much for those two comments. It's great to hear from you again. I've been missing out on the skirmishes recently, but I might be using that last title, "Losing Time," as an inspiration, so I haven't listened to any of those yet. By the way, you were very kind about my "unfamiliar" lyric, and I enjoyed the honesty of your critique of the chords. So I just wanted to throw open the possibility that if you'd like to rework it, it's yours! I'm sure I won't, so if those minor chords call you.... be my guest! but certainly no expectation. And no bribes either! ;)

Oh Corinne. You say the nicest things! ;)

Thanks for the comment. The lyrics make perfect sense. I guess you just need the key. :)

Loved your Scopes song!

a few somewhat similar thoughts are here, btw.. you might get a kick out of this one

I done changed packing to toting as you and Donna recommended Corinne.
I didn't check and see if Billy got the change in or not but will

Thanks for the comment on 'Synthetic Human'.

corinne, delete that post of mine below! i realize you meant the old pic-- that was in fact my long, long cat Mickey, in motion as he often is, streaking down the hallway.

and what are you planning for this summer's work?

Don't know why we keep doing it to ourselves but if one must have a compuslive behavior, there are worse things. Afterall, we could be lemmings :)

Hi Corinne. Good to see you back. ;)
Not sure what I'll come up with this 50/90. So busy with other things, but I hope the Muse might toss me a lyrical bone or two.
I have no doubt though that you'll soar to even greater heights. ;)

Loved your stuff last year. Looking forward to hearing some new material. Waterbug Watusi is still one of the most played songs on my iPod!

Hi Corinne, are we ready to make some noise?
