Veteran of four FAWMs and two 50/90s back for more!

Thanks for the comment on Ohio! We were visiting family and thought it would be fun to have the little girls join us. Spelling O-H-I-O was very fun for them. I love that alumni spell it as a greeting!! I'll let Dawn know :-) She'll get a kick out of that!

Thanks for the comment on Ukey Blues
%0/90 seems to be winding down quite a bit.
I've still got to go over the last responses I had cause I think I missed a few on the last end

Hi Chip, thank you for your wonderful comment on On the edge of a cliff. It is always fantastic to collaborate with Wy and Val. So inspiring! Thank you for your nice compliment of my playing :) You are very kind :)

Hi Chip! Thanks for the comments on Odd Socks and Rushing In - I've enjoyed (and am still enjoying!) listening to your songs too. This whole 50/90 experience has been a little mind-blowing... in a very good way - so many good songs out there and so much fun collaborating with people to create music - bit sad it's over though I am happy to be getting a bit more sleep now ;)

Thanks for your nice comment on my lyric, "Nothing is Better"...yeah, it's a simple, straightforward kind of song. I wanted to post a happy one last for some reason!

CONGRATULATIONS ON REACHING WINNER STATUS!

hey Chip thanks for the comment....twas great... well done on getting 54 songs done...thats a savage great amount....fair play....you'll be up to 60 before 5090 is over...;;;;

Hi Chip, thanks for your comments buddy... I noticed you listened to one of Nadia's song when it was an instrumental, here it is again after I added lyrics and vocals if you care to give it another listen. Definitely my most "fun" song. lol

Thanks for your comments on "Better Days" I put the lyrics up. I'm trying to get the last songs posted so I can get to fifty and cutting corners on typing some of the lyrics! http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/11944

Hey Chip, I hope I may speak in alfalfa`s name and also in mine, thank you so much for your very kind words! By the way, after having read your comment I have been listening to some songs of Parsons` again and I think I see what you mean… at least I hope so, thanks so much, in deed, this is a wonderful compliment, too!

Thank you so much Chip for your lovely comment on my collaboration with Izaak on Snowman. Hope your daughter goes back to playing the violin. It's a beautiful instrument. I have to say I never tried myself. I love Izaak's playing. Isn't it amazing how we can all collaborate via the net!
Congratulations on winning Chip!

I kinda figured you recorded live. That's cool. I'd like to see you play that. What we really need is a FAWM party in the South somewhere. Would be awesome!

Congrats on reaching winner status.

I appreciate the listen and comment on You Never Know What Words Will Be Your Last. Thanks!

Woot! Congratulations you over-achiever... 51!

Wow have YOU been busy! You're going to hit fifty, no doubt. I've been tied up with family, a two day virus, work and too many commitments so have not been able to participate as much as I'd like to have. Thank you SO much for the melody and making "I Can Breathe Beneath the Lake". I'm really honored that you chose to collab on this because you're one of my favorite fawmers. Please forgive my taking so long to get back to you.

Hey Chip, thanks for the comments on "Regarding Kissing" - kiwifruit done real good!

Heh - an album of the "Love that Dirty Water" variety is impending. :)

Dang, you are on the cusp! 3 to go! And, I am sorry to say, I've not commented on a single one! I will rectify that ASAP!

Hiya Chip, sorry its taken me so long but I have now emailed you the audio file for Elizabeth Rose (finally!) Looking forward to hearing some banjo on it! :)

Thanks for the comment on "Girl In The Picture" Chip.
Yeah, I could see a possibility of more contrast between the girl and his present situation. I hadn't been quite satisfied with the lyric but heck it was 50/90 :)

Thanks for your comment on my "If I had a Nickel" song, Chip. Means a lot. That was a tricky thing to put something really sentimental into a song (like the kid starting Kindergarten :) ) and not have it come out sappy, cliché, and melodramatic. Sounds like I put just enough in there for you to 'get it' without going over the top.

And look at you cranking out the tunes! Thirty-Eight! And mostly in the 'BUFF' ! I'll try to post comments on a few more. By some freak of statistics, 'Slippery Dude' comes up on my jukebox quite regularly!

You are so sweet! Dawn and I don't quite compare to Barbara...but it was very sweet of you to make that comment on "Get Well Soon Dear James"! I'm sure I'll smile in my sleep because of your words tonight!

Thank you very much for your kind and interesting comment, Chip! I loved to read it!

Thanks for your comments on Punch my ticket, the harp is a D minor Lee Oskar model and I'm still finding my way around it.

Thank you so much Chip for your comment on it's okay to cry. I absolutely love Valerie's vocals and lyrics, she is so fantastic! Isn't it amazing how possible it is to collaborate via the net! Something we couldn't dream of some time ago...

Thank you Chip for your nice comment, I hardly ever sing, you can hear my "singing" at the end of a very cool track - a collaboration with 10 fantastic songwriters. http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/10462
You might change your mind though if you hear how I "sing". Also my lyric which Billy so wonderfully arranged with his music and beautiful reading, is a true story:

Hi, Chip - by all means, if this song calls out to you, please feel free to add whatever you feel will make it complete. I just haven't had much time all summer to do much with 5090 but there is still time. One of the other folks in the workshop got a great song out of it, too, but much different than mine. I'll have to see if she'll post it because she's a fawmer, too - Amber Hadigan. Whenever I take a creative process workshop with Sloan Wainwright, I get great ideas. Just shoot me a note if you do anything with it. Thanks so much. I hope you're staying safe down there with Irene heading up the coast. We are expecting her on Sunday with 100 mph winds. Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll turn out to sea.

Thanks for continuing to listen to some of my songs. It's fun to get a comment on an "older" one like Think About the Good Things. Those first two verses are things that I can totally relate to too! The lesson is one I need to remember myself :-) That mind of mine is hard to control!

Hey Chip! Thanks for the comment on 'All Right'. I'll admit I had you in mind somewhat as I recorded the banjo part. You're my 5090 reference point for good banjo playing, so I was hoping not to goof up too badly. I tried a bit of clawhammer playing to get that twang I was looking for. Glad you dug the song!

I had fun on our, collab, too. I like what we ended up with.

You mentioned doing it again... want to try the same thing in reverse? I could get a guitar groove or some lyrics going for you to add to.

Thanks for the comment on Space Tag.
I didn't see this version before it was put up. It was part of the Random collab instead of the weekly collab.
I put up some proposed lyric changes but Edwin has had a lot going on and hasn't been on much

Thanks for the comment on Never Born, Chip! I was just playing around, but it sounded pretty cool but I went with it.

Thanks for the comment Chip!

Hiya Chip, thanks for your feedback on the Train Song and Inner Voices, and yes, absolutely up for a banjo/uke collaboration. What do you have in mind? :)

Thank you Chip for your nice comment on Enchanted River. Donna created her beautiful lyric which I'm sure will also become a song. Here is her link: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/9482

Thanks for listening and commenting on The Narrow Way!

Thanks for giving Pepper Fest a listen. We do LOVE our festival. It's a great time to gather with friends, eat good Italian food (lots of peppers), and dance to some great local bands. For chords I just started with 'A' and went right down the scale. I was trying for something more upbeat so it would have a fun feeling for Fest folk. I'll let you all know if I enter the talent show with it :-) I've appreciated your support this 50/90!

thanks for the listen- and with my banjo playing - i kinda break the rules, i play the thing with a flatpick, usually! (i know, that's wrong, but works for me)

so you inspired a banjo song from me!

http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/9559

Sorry! :-)

Hey Chip! I've been working on the full version of "Rain Tonight" and I think I should be done and ready for your parts tomorrow or Saturday, just a heads up! I've really fallen behind, but you, good sir, keep it up!

Hey Chip! If you wanna do an extended collar of "Rain Tonight, Mud Tomorrow" I'd be more than glad to do so! I think a banjo is exactly what the song needs! How shall we go about doing this? Should I lay down most of the rhythm tracks, send you the files to add banjo and/or whatever else?

Thank you for your very sweet comment on "Tracing". I have a dream of creating Bible School curriculum and maybe some children's CDs in my retirement/post-corporate life, and this 50/90 is my test bed to see if I could do it. Your words were very encouraging!

Chip, just wanted to thank you very, very much for your great comment on "just another year"!! THANK YOU!

with regards to "high noon", actually, it wasn't inspired by my novels at all. the lines "and when it comes to push and shove / i'll be the one you're afraid of" popped into my head for some reason, and for some reason i pictured an old western duel scene, and wrote it as such.

and i wish you could remember the band's name--that sounds like something i would listen to. but it does remind me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w69M0EcSb6o (apologies if that's not quite what you were thinking of.

Hi Chip, its a synthesised harmonium.

I rerecorded "Lack of Vision". Man...I wish I could add a bass to my collection :-) but my hubby would look like this :-(
I did try to make the riff a little louder though. Thanks for listening! I've "liked" you on facebook!

Hi Chip thank you for the kind comments, they are very much appreciated.

Thanks for the comment! I don't know what made you think of vikings (was it the "runes"? :D ) but I appreciate pointing that out. :)

Three songs up in the same hour. Crazy... I need to catch up!
