Hey, if you really want to make me happy, type it in Spanish...I'm trying to become (marginally) fluent!

Hey, thank you, Barbara!

Let me know if the plan works. If it does, we'll bottle it and I'll split the profits with you! ;)

DD

YOu know I stopped by to see if you put "Whenever You're Ready" to music yet. :)

Oh, and my name really is Angelina so I'm okay with you calling me either one :-)

Hola Barbara (and that's the extent of my Spanish). Wait, also - muchos gracias - and I mean it - so touched by your kind, even more encouraging words. Brought tears to my eyes. I will definitely keep writing, I'd have way too much free time on my hands if not ;-) Actually, I'd probably take up crossword puzzles or maybe even go to the gym all the time. Naaah ;-)

Wow, Barbara, thank you so much for your feedback on "Circle of Sisters," it's comments like yours that encourage me to keep writing even though there are a hundred other things I should be doing instead!

Now not going to be in Atlanta at all due to a flight schedule change meaning I had to leave JFK before I got there. I've changed my flight and will be going to Austin via Dallas rather than Killeen via Atlanta. Don't think I'd have been there long enough to meet up anyway, but just thought I'd let you know.

There will, however, be plenty of opportunity for me to write novel tomorrow, as I'm going to be on 'planes for about 18 hours!

Thank you for your thoughtful comment on "Anything You Want". The demo is now recorded and uploaded: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/10904

Hey Barbaly,
I've got a chance to pitch some inspirational stuff practically straight to some A & R people who specialize in that kind of thing. I'm going to try to get a few together for a C D to send them. I think Loaf Of Bread would qualify. Are you OK with us pitching it for one and also, are you happy with it as is, or do you want to re record it?.
Getting a C D together will probably entail 4 o 6 weeks, so no particular rush. I probably won't send over 6 songs on it

hi barbara, just to let you know i just pasted in the lyrics for Tuda Muda. Thanks for your comment. :-)

Hi Barbara, thanks so much for the sweet comment on 'Two Worlds'. Sorry about the late reply. It was a pleasure listening to yours songs. You have a beautiful voice..and I'm envious of your guitar skills! :)

Hi Barbara - I'm totally NOT ignoring you. I saw your message about perhaps, maybe, perchance, perhumps thinking about chord voicings for your song. I just haven't had a moment to re-listen. It has been in my mind. I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you - NEVER! :)

Hi Barbara - just thought I'd let you know that I've finally posted some more of my novel. I also have at least 3 more installments already written and have joined a roller derby team which involves me spending more time on trains, so if I remember to take my netbook with me, this should make me write more.

layered like that... So your like an ogre? Sorry for the mixed up profiles. I'm less than organized or so I've said.

Hi Barbara...I’d be delighted to collab with you on "You." (lol) I never did go back and tweak the lyric...especially that "belly laugh" line. I intended to fix that but didn’t...there may be others spots...see what you think fits with your music ideas...and feel free to use my email too, if you’d like!

Thanks a lot for the fast response and the kind words!! Keep also up the great work!!
kind regards

Hi Barbara, as you might have seen in some comments, I like your pieces very much, especially your great voice. I suppose you are quite busy, yet in the case if you like and if you can afford the time, I`d love to invite you to have a (short) look on some of my lyrics and I`d look very forward to a possible collab in the case you find anything you eventually like...
kind regards

Sounds exciting and whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be fantastic! Do please let me know when your demo is up Barbara. I'm looking forward to hearing it :)

Thank you so much Barbara for your wonderful comment on my collaboration with Donna on Enchanted River. So happy you like it :)

thanks for getting back, barbara.
thrilled at the possibility.
any time you're ready, let me know.

The only Spanish words I know are cerveza, helados y mass cola, por favor!

Here's ours. What's YOUR excuse, Ms. Demo Pending? ;-) http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/songs/8944

Nice! No, I'm collabing with TC, just running extremely late (very much disqualified). I'm out of practice. BOoooooOOooOoo! Check back in a half hour or so :).

I you ever need to borrow my "soloist," we can likely come to some terms for a loan. :)

You're right about the filk community, and the community is more of a big deal than the subject matter. There are people who aren't specifically interested in Tolkien or Babylon 5 or Buffy or whatever else I may write about but who have their own equivalent preferences and therefore "understand". What we do are folk songs in the broad sense -- even if it's played as rock or chamber music -- as it all touches on the lives and interests as generally found within fantasy and science fiction fandom.

Thank you for the nice compliment. Sometimes I feel as if filk is too easy. I mean, mostly somebody else has done the hard work of coming up with a fresh story. I just have to find the parts of it they didn't tell. :-)

Of course, I guess that's also true for people who write about reality. ;-)

Thank you so much Barbara for your generous comments on 'Backwards in Time'..memories are meant to be held onto. I like to think of them as permanent movies, as they never go away :)

""""[ahem] I meant *me*. Got a part time job of it, apparently, but I loves mah work."""""
Be that as it may Barbaly , I've got two kinda' verses and a kinda' chorus for Musing In The Moonlight :)
(I guess you're working on "Loaf of Bread" ,Michael said he'd take a shot at a Renaissance type in case you missed it)

Oh Barbara. I keep writing the same song over and over. It's getting rather annoying. You're very kind to actually comment on them. I'm hanging onto the hope that eventually I will write something different, but then when I do, I'm scared she'll really be gone.

I wish I could reply in Spanish, but unfortunatly, I don't know any.
Anyway, thankyou for your kind comment on Panniophobia, very much appreciated :)

Hi Barbara. If not for your comment, I wouldn't have even bothered putting music to Nameless Woman. Thanks. It now has music.

On "Hey darlin', that put me in mind of Conway Twitty's well know song or at least the opening words on it ,"Hello Darlin' and then THAT put me in mind of a remark Loretta Lynne had about Conway--THAT brought me a hook--I'm working on that one--Thanks Barbaly--you just spread inspiration wherever you go!!!--Like the sun coming up on a desolate landscape!!!, Coming out from behind the clouds after a long spell of gloomy weather !!.
Keep talkin' Barbara!! :)`

""did I tell you this already? - I hate editing my songs.""" Thanks for that Barbara--I come from a critiquing site and it's hard to get out of the habit

He disfrutado mucho tu comentario. Me gustaría ayudarte con el español. :)

Only an hour and a half. I'm guessing that's not long enough to do much more than change planes, unfortunately.

Um... yeah... novel... I just don't know what's going to happen next and so I've been avoiding it a bit. I have a little bit more I can post and will do so soon. Also, I'm going to be spending a long time on planes and buses in September, so I anticipate lots of writing getting done then.

Whereabouts are you based? It's possible I'll be somewhere near you on my travels (it's also possible that (a) I've just imagined that you're American or (b) I'll be going nowhere near you, because the USA is too bloody big.

thanks barbara for the lovely comments on my lyrics are you UK or USA?

""""(/end twangy talk)""""" LOL Barbara
In further explanation--Sometimes I have a "real" melody but usually my head tune is more of just a Rhythm--If I want to make an actual melody out of it, that usually takes 20 or 30 takes, many bad words and much frustration so I don't do much of my own anymore.
Sure, I think Michael was the second one who inquired. I'll see if he is still interested
Anyway, I can't lose cause you always do a great job, "whatever" genre it is---(Well, I've been Sweet talkin' the muse and "That's" been working good :)

Oop. Nevermind, I see that you saw it. Thanks for your comment! It makes me happy when someone leaves an in-depth one.

If you look further down in the comments of Mrs. Conundrum's Daughter you can see a download link on Mediafire. :)

Loaf of bread---Well Barbara, ya' see, it's like this----"Whatever--however" i sing anything , they always say it sounds like country, folk or Bluegrass--It's a curse or something :)
Don't feel bound by that if it gets your wheels spinning. The content doesn't really seem to lend itself to that genre do you think? It could definitely be done that way all right.
If you can come off what I sent, in a more Elizabethan direction, feel free or if you have a new start of your own
I trust you complicitly or implicitly (Or something :)

Thanks for the heads up, the MP3 on the host got corrupted. It's fixed now, enjoy. ;)

hi barbara, yes, it rings true for me because i've been the person on the receiving end of that exact situation (though i suppose people usually think of the woman being the "victim" in those situations). Anyway, yeah, whether i had experienced that myself or not, i still thought you did a great job.

Thanks for your comment on "Tender Moments", Barbara. Apropos your question: Sadly, the tale reflects neither art nor life. :)
Would that it did. ;)
