PROGRESS:14  14 songs
LOCATION:Clearwater, Florida
INFLUENCES:27-Jun-2011: The range of influences broadens vastly this summer. Along with all of my usual guitar heroes, some of the things that cause my creative winds to blow in whichever direction are as follows: Gilgamesh, Richard Nixon, pumpkin seeds, washing dishes, the sound of military aircraft and green. At least that's what they are at the moment.

06-Jul-2011: Miuz is definitely awake, as crazy as ever and she is trying to trick me again. This time she likes broken glass and rusty things that squeak. You ready for it?

11-Jul-2011: Just got home from Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center. After witnessing the final shuttle launch and exploring the incredible artifacts at the cape, I am as sure as ever that I am heavily influenced by things that are really, really big and things that are really, really loud.

02-Sep-2011: Been awfully damned busy draining the swamp. Deadlines suck, but there they are. Hopefully, Miuz and I may have a trick or two up our sleeves this weekend. She has benn in a rather vicious mode and has taken to playing with sharp things.

25-Sep-2011: Miuz has been somewhat cranky as of late and decided that the last song for the season just got posted. She's off to sulking and pouting again until she gets damned good and ready to offer up some new inspiration in hell knows whatever form it might take. See ya on the funway.

27-Sep-2011: Since I promised myself in July that I would put a video together, Miuz made me do one today. Apparently, she is in a better mood than she was a few days ago.

Soundboard

This years theme slash album title is 'Honor Among Thieves'. The crazy bitch that lives in my head, calls herself Miuz and gets pissed at me for misspelling it thinks that I should only plan to do one song. When that one is done maybe she'll let me do another...

Loved the Hallowe'en treat!

There you are, sir! I am now caught up on your songs. :D

I have not, however, recorded the piano for 'Floating' yet. 50/90 keeps getting in the way. I will do my best to get it to you soon!

Bob, just post them up un your songlist (with a + of course!). I'm nowhere near my works machine. Proper COmments later.

I really appreciate the comment on Paradox, cheers 1B :) I'd be flattered to have a permanent spot on your ipod! And where are your new tracks eh? I'm looking forward to hearing more, get to work! If you're interested we could collab on something, maybe I could knock up a nice ambient background/atmospheric thing for you to add to next week? A follow up to your Chernobyl track or something? Let me know, it'd be fun! :)

Thanks for all of the comments. Great to see you here again this year. ;) I am a big Paul Simon fan so it doesn't surprise me that the influence seeps into my songs. ;) The Propane Cadillac was a fun one to write... glad you liked it.

Thanks so much for your comments on my latest skirmish! I promise to return and comment on your songs! :)

Thanks for the comment on Betwixt and Between, Bob. I like that one, too. Did you get a message from me a while back, by chance?

Hi B! There's trouble with the link for "Time and Again". And I'm getting a 404 - Page Not Found error trying to use the direct download. - BR

Bob, I'm snowed working up to playing professionally again and the listening has fallen apart (the gap between comments given and received is reducing to dangerous levels!) In all your nice comments, another suggestion. Why not take Cold Stone Bed, ad your singing guitar (with breathing spaces...not continuous...so the guitar really becomes the soloist over the top of the bed), rename it Warm Stone Bed and put it up as collab?

Alloooo 1B!

Man, I really have to start checking this site more.

rusty things that squeak!! <3

Bob? Are you lurking about presently?

since you mention it as "dating,' i'm guessing, afterwards, haha. poor you.

Got rusty things that squeak? Besides knees, that is...

Bob, I'm so glad you were entertained by my He-Man song. And believe you me, the Smurfs are very high on my list of coming cartoons to capture. (Wee, alliteration!) I'll let you know when that blue day dawns. ;)

Bob, you hit it on the head....the wah is Hayes but the overall feel of the track is definitely When I Robot Met Watermelon Man. ;)

Oh yes, and Slipstream, too. I really had no control over that one. I think it's well titled!

Thanks for the comment on Vagabond, Bob. Can't believe it's time to go through all this again. :)

Knock, knock! Bob...you do realize I can do something with that first track, right? You should know this. Really. You should. Trust me. I just need you to say yes. That's it.

snake-- now hairless.

I have no idea what's cooking this go 'round. I don't really have a decent set up, truthfully. My gear is somewhat indisposed at the moment. I'm working on it, though. In the meantime I'll just sample the jellies already on the shelf. :)

hi- good to hear from ya-- and 'up my sleeve' this summer is , first, trying to get a recording setup that works after my pc died and i got a new one not compatable with what i had.. anyway, hope to be doing something with it all this summer, tho not as much as prior years , i think. best of luck, good to see ya back here!

Howdy again, fellow Floridian!

Mods & Rockers? I hear they had quite a fight... ;) (Still must watch that movie & acquire soundtrack...)

Miuz is tough but very zen...

vrrrm-vrrrrmmm!!

I'll be here! Listening, at least! :D

Hiya Bob, it will be a great musical summer :)

Hey 1B. One song at a time, brother. All in the name of rock-n-roll!

Hi Bob! Of course, I'm in. ;) Shall we try something together this summer?

Hi Bob. I'm just going to be a lurker this season! I've got so much material, that my wife told me to do an album. So that's what I'll do. Always up for adding some guitar or harmonica to someone's project... (hint hint)

almost here, almost here, almost here

Hiya!

I am always careful. With words...

Just starting pracitce to wipe the arthritis out of the fingers. We have a new music cafe possibility just starting up locally so I think I'll take my Christmas Ukelele, use the open mic, and promote!

Gassing up the tank, getting ready to roll ...

Let's shave the snake!
