From the early days playing guitar and piano as a kid, I have always had a passion for music. But it was as a DJ that introduced me to music as a career. This started by creating mix-tapes for local club DJs and pirate radio, this landed the first paid job as a DJ for a club night “The Ark” and later as a DJ on a pirate radio station SiN FM, playing mostly Detroit House, HipHop/Electro, Soul and Funk. I started making dance music using an Atari ST and a few synths, released a white label 12” ‘The Journey’ that was played in the clubs and became an underground success but never made the crossover. After moving to Reading a few years later and forming an Indie band where I played lead guitar and wrote their songs. We had a few successful gigs in the local area and was gaining a good fan base but we split through career differences. I had already built a project studio with a basic setup by this time mainly to record our demos and started on a different journey – of music production.
