Music... a huge part of my life since I was a child. Now featuring a touch of grey but looking forward to my 40s being a musical decade!
My plans in specific for 2017 are:
1) To write a lot of music
2) To collaborate with some of my musical friends I made through FAWM
3) To win 50/90!
Instruments which will be sorely misused by my feeble skills this time around:
-Seagull Merlin M4 Spruce (a dulcimer-like instrument)
-Lonestar Venice mandolin
-Simon & Patrick S&P Pro Mahogany 6-string acoustic steel-string guitar
- Silvertone electric guitar with or without Zoom G1XOn (more likely with, though)
-Rogue soprano ukulele
-Bach tenor trombone (Bb)
-pBone alto trombone (Eb)
-Casio Celviano digital piano
-little black tin whistle in D
-whatever other instruments I find around here...
Also, I'm not creating a separate 'metalfootlings' account for my kids here. But they *will* be here, occasionally doing tracks alone or with dad. Possibly might even drag my long-suffering wife into singing with me here or there. We'll see.
NB: For 2017, my family is on vacation the first three weeks of July (and I have a sneaking suspicion my wife would not be happy if I 50/90ed during vacation) so I'll be a little late starting. I will be here though, and hopefully can get a few songs in.
Actually, who am I kidding? I probably will still get my 50 in, if FAWM 2017 is any indication...
