I'm a teacher, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter in Logan, Utah. I teach beginning orchestral strings now, but trained as a middle school band and high school orchestra teacher, and taught guitar and choir at the high school level. Music teachers rock! Besides guitars and voice, I'll likely add violin, mandolin, flute, clarinet, trombone, and trumpet to my demos.
I primarily multitrack acoustic instruments with one decent condenser mic and garageband. But as usual, my travel plans will prevent full demos during certain weeks of 50/90 so I will be posting some simple song demos, with mandolin, when I'm away from home. I'll be leaving wintery South Australia for summery North America on July 10th, and will have to set up my entire studio when I get home. It's been packed away since December. I've hardly played anything but mandolin since then. I'll be reestablishing my multi-instrumentalist technique on the fly this 50/90. Should be fun.
This is my sixth 50/90. I've only hit 50 once so far.
If you're really interested in my influences you can look up what I've been listening to on my last.fm user site:
Best of luck to all, and happy listening!
Edit July 15th --- Slowest start to 50/90 ever. The combination of travel fatigue, moving back into my old home, all the catch up with my old life, and lack of internet, is just the perfect storm. Also, a friend still has my USB interface and condenser mic, so multi-track demos are not yet forthcoming. Sorry 50/90, . Nevertheless, I shall return!
