- I have been influenced mostly by life and its adventures/misadventures and far too many artists to name. As a child born in the 60s
- I didn't get influenced by the music of the 60s much. But watch out 70s here I come! There was some of the most fabulous and expressive music of all time in the 70s from Foghat to Fogelberg
- I loved it all.
Okay, I took the easy way out. I just copied my bio from FAWM. All lyrics written in 50/90 are available for collaboration.
I've been writing lyrics/poetry for as long as I can remember. The styles range from cry in your beer country to rock as hard as you can, with a few love songs and ballads thrown in for good measure.
Friends tell me that I used to play guitar when I was a teen, but I had a motorcycle accident when I was 20. With a brain injury and being in a coma for several weeks, they say I'm fortunate to be alive. I would have to agree. I ran into my "best friend" from high school several years back and he asked me if I still played guitar. I had no idea what he was talking about. But, it explained why I had this compulsion to collect guitars and why I thought I should be able to make it sing.
Unfortunately, I am partially paralyzed on my left side and no longer have the coordination in my fretting hand and my mind doesn't remember how to tell my fingers what to do.
So, now I write.
