Arthur was kind enough to allow me more access to his lyrics. Went more country this time :)
Thank you so much, Billy, for the kind words as well as for the fantastic heartfelt music and interpretation!! That emotional... wonderful...
JUST ANOTHER YEAR
For three years, with me, I bear this cancer,
it`s another year I would like to live,
just God knows all the answers
how much time He`s `bout to give…
There is no room for great undertakings,
I would just wish to make some wrong things right,
now I don´t have all the makings
of rectifying all my life…
(Chorus)
Just another year,
please, just another year…
it`s not the death that I fear…
just wanna see my grandsons grow,
and just wanna see the Danube flow,
would like to see the grey skies clear,
and I`d love to feel your kiss, my dear,
for another year, for another year, please, just for another year…
Our whole life remains an enigma,
we get born, we live knowing we`ll pass by,
carrying this stigma
till the last day that we die…
I made my mistakes, I made my blunders,
but it is strange that we don`t get to know
that life is such a wonder
till it`s high time we`ve to go…
(Chorus)
Just another year,
please, give me another year…
it`s not death that I fear…
just wanna see my grandsons grow,
just wanna see the Danube flow,
I would like to see the grey skies clear,
I would love to feel your kiss, my dear,
for another year, for another year, please, just another year…
I`d love to see the grey skies clear,
I`d really love to feel your kiss, my dear,
for another year, for another year, please, just for another year…

What a heart touching song! So beautiful... It made me tear up, thinking of people I know who have passed by cancer. This song really hit home. thank you!
What a good collaboration! Billy really brought the reflective, poignantl lyrics to life. Fine musical and vocal performance.
Good job.
Great rhymes, heartfelt tale in the lyrics. Townes Van Zandt-like in both lyric and music. I like the bit of percussiveness to Billy's music, which adds a bittersweet sing-along barroom cry-in-your-beer feel.
Lovely Arthur.
Much feeling, strength, hope and sorrow here.
wolf.
Fantastic job as ever, Arthur! You can feel the yearning and the resignation so perfectly. Hopefully you'll find some music for it
