Liner Notes:
This is the track from the multi-track multi-collaborator challenge (sequential 1). For more info, look here:

Essentially, 6 people collaborated on this track, and then I mixed the whole thing together. They did it 1 at a time (ie. sequentially). In order (with their contribution) they were:
@metalfoot - Acoustic Guitar
@cola - Vocals
@nate.gerry - Drums
@yam655 - Synths
@elesimo - Bass
@lowhum - Keys
@cblack - Mixing
I have no idea how they managed to make this such an awesome track, to be honest, but I really enjoyed mixing it! (Took longer than I was expecting, but I learnt a lot.) Thanks all!

[@cola]'s lyrics:
[Verse]
You can’t get rid of me now
You can’t get rid of me now
The roots have grown too deep
From the solitude you keep
You can’t get rid of me now
It snuck up on you somehow
Pretending it was fine
As I made the garden mine
[Chorus]
If only you had known
The weeds would get this overgrown
[Verse]
You can’t get rid of me now
No, you can’t get rid of me now
The roots have grown too deep
From the solitude you keep
You can’t get rid of me now
Though it’s pointless tuning it out
The thistles in the earth
Are a veil to hide the dirt
[Chorus]
If only you had known
The weeds would get this overgrown
[Bridge]
Can’t get rid of me
Can’t get rid of me now
The roots have all grown out
[Verse]
You can’t get rid of me now
No, you can’t get rid of me now
The roots have grown too deep
From the solitude you keep
You can’t get rid of me now
I’m woven all through the ground
Afraid I’ll turn away
You’re begging me to stay
[Chorus]
If only you had known
The weeds would get this overgrown

Great job, all! For me it was like playing with a band that I don't know and I didn't rehearsed at all. I might've trixed the daw a bit, so the piano track is a bit blurry and heavily improvised. But playing and doing it is what counts. Greetings, and thanks for the experience
That worked out very much like a 4 track cassette song. Nice job everyone!
Fun tune, I'm trying to listen to some of the mult-collaborator songs now.
Can't get rid of me now -- well, that's a great hook.
I like the pounding rhythm section -- bass, drums, piano, with the vocal floating over.
