Lyrics:

There might be no tomorrow (needs music)

His parents: farmers, honest, poor,
living in a small house in the village,
some acres land, a few geese and tillage,
but he wished so much more…

No chance to make this nightmare end,
and no chance for changes for the better,
so he chose his way, and the Beretta
became his best friend…

(Chorus)
Dance with me, and if I’m crazy,
I’m crazy for your skin…
Love me! Love me! I’m as crazy
as the time that we live in…

This luck’s just borrowed,
kiss me now and hug me fast,
you know, there might be no tomorrow,
and this night may be the last…

Made come true what was not to be,
trucks and drugs, he didn’t know the wage of
blood money, he made it at the age of
twenty-two… or -three…

All of a sudden, he met her,
a fallen angel, a pretty fairy…
poor, but beautiful, with lips like cherries,
and she became his girl…

(Chorus)
Dance with me, and if I’m crazy,
I’m crazy for your skin…
Love me! Love me! I’m as crazy
as the time that we live in…

This luck’s just borrowed,
kiss me now and hug me fast,
you know, there might be no tomorrow,
and this night may be the last…

They loved each other and she cared…
He used to say, shyly, sometimes louder,
“strange… coke, crack… these crumbs, these silly powder,
to some, it means the world…”

And then one night… shots in the dark…
and the hell took all back what it gave them,
he never came home… blood on the pavement,
the devil made his mark…

(Chorus)
Dance with me, and if I’m crazy,
I’m crazy for your skin…
Love me! Love me! I’m as crazy
as the time that we live in…

This luck’s just borrowed,
kiss me now and hug me fast,
you know, there might be no tomorrow,
and this night may be the last…

What a story! Right from the start we know that the doomed anti-hero will come to a bad end. The twist is that he knows it too... This is gripping stuff!

I don't know why but the pairing of "Better" and "Beretta" really made me chuckle. Very nicely done.

Great storytelling, with their demise subtly foreshadowed from the beginning.
