dzd: Thanks @kahlo2013 for letting me play with your lyrics and being patient. Have a buddy that was going to do bass and sing this, but he is cutting it a little too close on time, wanted to give this amazing write a better treatment than it got.

Lyrics:

Indigo Bunting

V1
they thought he was
too showy
they would often
stop and stare
as he danced along
tree lines streets
flying lighter
than the air
alone unique
and rare

PC
some pointed and said
he should not be there
some turned their heads
said they could not care

C
he changed colors
like an indigo bunting
from dull dark brown
to vibrant blue hues

he changed places
like migrating birds
seeking space with time
to nest his own truth

V2
they felt he was
flamboyant
always singing
his gay songs
as if he had
no worries
happily soaring
all day long
trying hard to
stay strong

PC
some pointed and said
that it seemed all wrong
some shook their heads
said they knew all along

C
he changed colors
like an indigo bunting
from dull dark brown
to vibrant blue hues

he changed places
like migrating birds
seeking space with time
to nest his own truth

B
the day he stopped flying
and his songs were through
was when they finally realized
how much that they all grew
bearing witness
to something
so beautiful
and different
something new.....

C
he changed colors
like an indigo bunting
from dull dark brown
to vibrant blue hues

he changed places
like migrating birds
seeking space with time
to nest his own truth

Oh I really like the lo-fi drippy reverb feeling that for me really spotlights the metaphoric lyric vibe. Well done on the collab!

Great work, and, anyway, -- I get (assume) you wanted your buddy (?) who really likes cops Smile to do it. Maybe he still can anyway... does not have to be "for here".

Bring the action! That chorus is full of tension. The easy listening bits are really supporting Lizzy's lyrics. This collab is not as curious as I thought!

sounds so floaty in the verses and gets the dirtier treatment in the more urgent chorus. some bits reminded me of early pink floyd. nice collab

Very enjoyable track. The echoing guitar and vocals make it quite hypnotic. I really like the cleaner guitar sound, and moving to the heavy distortion in the chorus works well.
