Liner Notes:

Blargh! This song took me no time to write but forever to record. I wanted to do a fancy version by that little meter shift that happens kept screwing me up, and my cats were not having any of it, so I did this instead. There's some pitch problems, but by the time I got to this version I was pretty frustrated and that's going to be what it's going to be. I really like the chorus, so I might do something with this later.

Lyrics:

Like light through trees. Like water lillies
The gentle music of the river puts my heart at ease
Like summer rain. Like autumn evenings
We have to hold them close and discover their meaning

Oh river run. Take my worries away.
Down to the shore, beyond the bay
To the sea to the sky to the tears we cry
And our tears make the river that hurries on by

Like life springs forth from winter's grief
Like summer days Ade to autumn and its cool relief
Like joy and grief each have their reasons
Like the cycles of the earth and the changing seasons

Oh river run. Take my worries away.
Down to the shore, beyond the bay
To the sea to the sky to the tears we cry
And our tears make the river that hurries on by

I really like what you've done here and the key change was a good idea, I think.

I love the chorus, both the melody and the rhythm of the words flow really well and stick in your head. Adding a round in the middle is a cool touch as well! A beautiful song overall, great work!

Sounds good. I rarely attempt difficult meter changes, but you pull it off. Strong chorus. I really like the round near the end, and the key change is a nice touch.
