Liner Notes:

On Twitter I picked out these issues which seem to be the most commonly spouted by those who tweet politics, and put them into lyrical form. A song for middle England.
I can't imagine anyone ever singing these lyrics, but they all count towards the fifty!

Lyrics:

England, my England

Verse 1
In the caliphate of Oldham
The law is the Koran
English roses nurtured
And picked by Muslim men

Verse 2
On the straits of Dover
Young men take their chance
Smart jackets and cell phones
Escaping nasty France

Verse 3
In the sporting arenas
Millionaires take a knee
They go with the flow, for
Isn’t hypocrisy free?

Verse 4
They rewrite our history
The newly woken ones
The sins of the fathers
Must punish all their sons

Verse 5
A new political party
Extracts a big fat fee
To push its own agenda
It calls itself the BBC

It's a good lyric, John. Seems much of the world is experiencing some form of social and political unrest and for a variety of reasons.

Definitely. it's the bane of our lifetime, more so than ever, We're having problems here too. Logic and rationality, let alone fair play and fair speech are vanishing. Sad.
