Nancy:
Liz and I live in the same city and have done some zany in-person collabs, and while that wasn't possible this time, we did something different and cool. I worked with Liz's solo vocal and lyric, adding backing vocals, keyboards and mixing it with lots of reverb. This was good for my blood pressure.

Lyrics:

V1
You are the peace
that shines down
with the sun

You are the hope
that dwells in
everyone

You are my peace
You are my hope
You are my god
You are the one

C
You are the one
You are the one
You are
peace hope
joy and love
You are the one

V2
You are the joy
that wonder
has spun

You are the love
that cannot
be undone

You are my joy
You are my love
You are my God
You are the one

C
You are the one
You are the one
You are
peace hope
joy and love
You are the one

B
when the days grow dark
when the storms roll in
when the cold wind blows
when the tears begin
I turn to you
to ask how I
can step in....

C
You are the one
You are the one
You are
peace hope
joy and love
You are the one

That was very calming indeed. The rise and fall of the instruments and the wash of reverb is a really great way to complement the original track. Very nice ending too.

I love the huge, wobbly reverb. It really adds to the reverie of the chant. The affirmation is amazing and I needed it today.

I've just finished my morning pint of coffee, but even so I can feel my blood pressure dropping as well. This is beautifully restful. Those repeated "You are"s give this an adorational aspect that borders on the ecclesiastical and the production choices you've made reinforce the sense of this being sung in an extremely large, reverberant cathedral. (Gently exhales) Ahhhh...

Because yep, that's a LOT of reverb - but it doesn't muddy the mix. Might I ask which reverb you used? I am a bit of a reverb nerd (as watching some of my live streams will no doubt reveal!)

Very calming vocals and keys. It's good to hear Liz sing (need to do more of it!). Madison rocks! (or soothes in this case)

This sounds sacred, and so quietly and understatedly powerful. You two have created something wonderful that needs to be shared in times of turmoil.
