Liner Notes:

Since the chords were showing up in the wrong places, you're now getting just the lyrics. So much for skipping a step. Sorry about that.

I thought the first 2 lines were going to be the chorus. Then that sassy little chorus showed up, and I used the first 2 lines again later. It needs tweaking.
It's about the Weld County Commissioners in Colorado. They hold the county's purse strings.

Lyrics:

Weld County, One Person’s View, July 25-August 6, 2020, #11
Elizabeth Singleton
Tempo d’Rawhide

Intro

Welcome to Weld County, formerly red and white.
It’s getting more purple and blue is in sight.
Control is the game. They’ve played it for years.
Oil and gas gets everything. The environment gets jeers.

Mandate the masks. Freeman says no.
Kirkmeyer still wants her 51st state show.
Conway was disgraced, thrown out on his ear.
Transparency is gone while corona virus deaths are here.

Chorus
Money, money, money, the integrity sinkhole.
You don’t got no money, you don’t got control.

Times are changing, the way of mankind.
Adapt and move forward or get left behind.
Discrimination was rampant and ignored, it appears
Equality is vital, but far from near.

Welcome to Weld County, formerly red and white.
It’s getting more purple and blue is in sight.
Will the changes coming soon Inspire a fear or two,
Since what you’ve done to others may come back to you?

Outro
Money, money, money, the integrity sinkhole.
You don’t got no money, you don’t got control.

Money, money, money, the integrity sinkhole.
You don’t got no money, you don’t got con- trol.
