COVID-19 meets run around Sue.

Lyrics:

Quarantine Sally

Verse 1:
Just 19 if she’s a day, holds the World within her palms

Quarantine is not the game she likes to play,

Who will fall into her arms?

Verse 2:
She will tempt you out each night,

With her innocent childish charms

No security in some brand new disguise

Watch that baby run

Chorus:

And if you think its cool, not to stay inside your room,

Take the lesser path and say it all on Zoom.

The voice inside your head needs to sit in the background

While you ask yourself, who can catch her now?

Verse 3:

Never safe in a hotel

Or a ship that just might leak

She can channel some new kinds of spells,

Each day, each night, each week.

Chorus:

And if you think its cool, not to stay inside your room,

Take the lesser path and say it all on Zoom.

The voice inside your head needs to sit in the background

While you ask yourself, who can catch her now?

Crikey; you know this year's been an absolute trainwreck when a song equates romance with peril and extols the virtues of staying in your room, and as a listener you just sit there and nod sagely and say "absolutely right..." I hope she wears a mask, at the very least.

Love those little curlicues on the guitar that gently drift by in between the lines.
