Liner Notes:

A little bit of a blockage. But this kind of wrote itself. Yup, another breakup song for no reason at all.

Lyrics:

I don't know why you never call
Even just to say hello
Hell, I wouldn't even mind
If you called to tell me where to go

And all the songs I write for you
They all sound the same
I think I'm gonna go insane

The doctor said I didn't have
A thing to worry about
And even though I long for you
I gotta learn to live without

And all the songs I write for you
They all sound the same
I think I'm gonna go insane

And all the bottles of pills and beer
Don't seem to work anymore
I guess it wasn't hard to forget about me
Just like you did before

And all the songs I write for you
They all sound the same
I think I'm gonna go insane
I think I'm gonna go insane

I like the idea of waiting for a call, any call, even if it's your ex telling you to go to hell.

I think, too, about how a lot of my songs are about one breakup or another, one old relationship or another. An endless repository of what-if's.

But everyone loves a song that reminds them of what they've personally been through, that's why it's a theme that will never end.

Cool tune. Has a great feel, I feel like I'm sitting down with an old friend who picks up a guitar and said, "Here's what's been on my mind".

good solid piece of americana songwriting and playing. the structure is so solid and the places you fo inside it are both comfortable and .a kick in the ass, yeah, ive been through this, and it feels good remembering how bad it felt.

Classic, relatable tune with some nice turns of phrase ("I wouldn't even mind if you called to tell me where to go"). Works really well in this simple, acoustic format; I could also hear it with some alt-country/rock production.

I love the strumming/picking, it sounds really rich and nice.
The lyrics hit hard, very raw and relatable.

That's a sweet guitar intro. And the guitar backing is lovely throughout, supporting that plaintive vocal. Really like this one. Downloading
