From Kristi... took the chorus I had for this out as it didn't match. Just added a totally new chorus. Maybe I can get a lyric out of the old chorus! The bridge can probably be better, but it's the best I have right now...

From Katie... Thank you Kristi, for sharing these wonderful lyrics with me. I really enjoyed working with them. I performed this on ukulele and recorder with a logic generated percussion track.

Lyrics:

Little Bits of Love

What is a rose
But a simple gift
Red, pink or yellow
A scented kiss

What is a flame
But a little light
Flickering hope
That burns all night

[ch]
Oh can you find simple pleasures
They’re at our fingertips
Little bits of love
That have a mighty grip
Can you give more than you take
Will there ever be enough
I hope one day we can share
Those little bits of love

What is a song
But a string of chords
A coat for arms
That can keep us all warm

What is a heart
An amazing muscle
Leading the way
With a pick and shovel

[ch]
Oh can you find simple pleasures
They’re at our fingertips
Little bits of love
That have a mighty grip
Can you give more than you take
Will there ever be enough
I hope one day we can share
Those little bits of love

[br]
Get a little closer
Before your life is over
Take a walk around
There’s so much to be found

Repeat ch

Thank you again, Katie, for turning my lyrics into a unique blend of vocals and music. I really like that you used the recorder. It adds whimsy and wonder to it. And your harmonies are very pretty.

Love the feel of the opening and the 'whistle' sound, and your voices work well together, love the vocal coordination.

That recorder and uke make for a sweet combination. Vocal harmonies beautiful! I like the changes in tempo - it's like Renaissance rock and roll alternating with a lone troubador. Lyrically, I like the comparison of a song with a heart ... well done!

This is...super-sweet. Love the instrumentation, love the harmonies. And good job working on those lyrics together.

A great collaboration!
