Demo:

Liner Notes:

I'm pretty self-critical like I'm sure a lot of us are - I actually like this one.

Lyrics:

VERSE:
Looking out the window
The narrow street below
The sounds of the city calling
I know where I'd like to go

We'll meet like we used to do
And travel back in time
To our favorite old cafe
Would surely be sublime

CHORUS:
Dinner for Two
Just me and you
Sipping our wine
Taking our time
In the heart of Paris again

VERSE:
The menu hasn't changed a bit
Neither has the view
And my favorite part will be
Looking right at you

Won't be here forever
So take this time with me
Sitting at our favorite table
A distant reality

CHORUS:
Dinner for Two
Just me and you
Sipping our wine
Taking our time
In the heart of Paris again

BRIDGE:
Delicious memories
The taste of the good times we had
The smell of laughter in the air
For this moment I'm so glad

CHORUS:
Dinner for Two
Just me and you
Sipping our wine
Taking our time
In the heart of Paris again

Shades of some of those old 70s Beatles songs - beautiful Smile I reckon that this is a keeper.
I absolutely adore the chorus, melodically and lyrically.

Really good and catchy too! Words, vocals, the music. You got yourself a hit in my book.

“We’ll always have Paris”. My wife and i use this jokingly all the time! And here is a song about it! Could almost be Ricks song. Very nice indeed.

this reminds me of the semi classical rock of the zombies, which i have listened to and loved for many a year.

I actually like this one too! Great chord progression in verse, very cool chorus. Excellent production - a keeper.

Whoa, what a chorus! Irresistible and a little Beatles-esque. Perfect for singing along. Really, the whole thing sounds very classic. Excellent work!

Interesting, kind of early first floyd, beatles fusion. A great early rock era feel.

It's harder to write a happy song than a sad song, but you've pulled this off with joy to spare. It's sunny, summery and politely rockin'. The chords are as delicious as the plat du jour on the menu, and the picture painted by the lyrics is as vivid as a 1000-piece puzzle as it comes together.

What a charming song! Love the bridge lyric. A great pop song. Really nice arrangement and performance
