Liner Notes:
I had the words "any fool" floating in my head for a few days and had to exorcise them.
Lyrics:
Any fool at any school
knows that two plus two
equals four
but where does that get you
when they're out to get you
and you can't
count to five?
Any fool can pick up any tool
and do
any job of work
but where does that get you
when they're out to get you
and you've
not got hammer or screw?
Any fool with any pool
can swim round
and round
but where does that get you
when they're out to get you
and a shark's
coming for you?
Any fool
with any rule
can enforce it night and day
but where does that get you
when they're out to get you
and it's
Judgement Day?

thus one goes straight to my technicolor favorites list. the music has that one chord groove with the organ on top that was so memorable in the song 96 tears. the lyrics are a departure from your trademark surrealism for a blast of rational clarity that is easy for all to understand.
Sounds like an unconventional guitar tuning used deliciously. The vocal attack is exciting! It rocks therefore I dig it.
I’ve been known to be unable to resist a song with the word “fool” ini it - lol! So 3 Dog Night - “Mama Told Me Not to Come.” Love it!
That opening riff evokes The Tragically Hip but then the rest of the music comes in and it's definitely your style! Really cool layered vocals and thought-provoking lyrics.
I love the lyrics and music, everything about it.
Dig how you sing 'Any fool' like some drunken Englishman. Loved hearing the drums (snare) come in and the catchiness of 'but where does that get you
when they're out to get you'. Towards the end of the song it was sort of a drug to listen to the guitar.
