Wacha says - Liz told me she was going to write this and I was really interested to see how it was going to come out. I LOVED it and am so glad I got to work on it. I am really happy with what I came up with and wanted to make a fuller arrangement but everything I added made the song WAY worse so I think this is one I'me going to have to sit with a while and maybe have some other folks give me input on what might be needed. I don't like to add stuff just because I can. Maybe it just needs some drums?

On this Track:
Liz's lyrics
Vocals
Fender Strat Squire

I doubled the vocals and guitar and added more reverb than I normally do and some chorus on both to give a dreamy feel.

Liz says: Catherine! Thank you for the dreamy sensual feel you brought to these words. I love how you brought the song to life!

Lyrics:

rachel

V1
I lie here
and watch for you
to come into
our room

I wait here
and think of you
hoping you’ll be
here soon

and I wonder
what you’ll say
today

C
Rachel...
tell me what you think
show me how you feel
draw me into you
tonight

Rachel...
let me see your smile
look me in the eye
help me know we’ll be
alright

V2
I look up
and I see you
you bring joy to
my face

I sit up
and invite you
back into my
heart space

and I welcome
where we’ll go
today

C
Rachel...
tell me what you think
show me how you feel
draw me into you
tonight

Rachel...
let me see your smile
look me in the eye
help me know we’ll be
alright

B
you guide me
you take me
to places I’ve
never been
when you
sweep....
sweep me in

C
Rachel...
tell me what you think
show me how you feel
draw me into you
tonight

Rachel...
let me see your smile
look me in the eye
help me know we’ll be
alright

This is a perfect collaboration. The words and music and singing are all blending together to make a very sensual song.

Very dreamy and sensual treatment. I love those certain chords that add an air of mystery/adventure that speaks to the feeling of curious anticipation in the lyrics. Great collab!

Vocals and guitar doubled and reverby working really great for me on this, I think you were wise on the more is not always better.
all just opinions of course, but I wouldn't touch anything until the bridge, other than maybe some slight building percussion in the previous second half of the chorus(some jangles or just a on the 1 beat cymbal or something) just so its not so jarring, but then can really (no pun intended really climax it out on the bridge) and back down to dreamy and smooth on last chorus

Really great tune and another great collab you two!

The combo of that lovely electric guitar and smooth vocal is magical ... simple yet effective. Lyrically, the repetition of the name "Rachel" works like a mantra, as if just saying it will bring comfort. Nice!

I've been experimenting with different vocal treatments, including double-tracking my vocal. You must have PERFECTLY doubled your vocal here, because I'm not hearing 2 of them--whatever you're doing, is great though. Perfect amount of reverb.

Love the guitar tone. Sweet, sweet lyrics. Very nice collaboration, ladies!

Nicely meditative piece. I just layed back and let it carry me away. No drums necessary to my thinking. Liz’s words were a friendly and peaceful guide. Great collab.

This is love. Love is this. Is it hot in here or is it just me?
