Liner Notes:

Don't read too much into this. I was tempted to not put any lyrics down because it's the kind of thing you can just make up as you go along, these are suggestions only. Played with a 12 bar blues progression and a little turnaround between verses.

Very rough and ready demo on the way.

Demo update: Wow! I forgot how hard this is. Would help to have my audio interface and mic back from my son whom I lent it to - he said he will box it up and send it so that will be a help. In the meantime, practice. As usual, I play along just fine with a few glitches, as soon as I start to record my fingers seem to stop working, my sense of rhythm goes out the window and the words out of my head, even if I have a copy of the song in front of me.

Lyrics:

Apples and oranges, lemons and limes
Baby all I've got is time

Chorus:
If you don't love me, if you don't love me by now
Baby you are never gonna love me anyhow

I look out the window, what do I see
I see a butterfly and bumblebee

(chorus)

I walked up the mountain to look at the sky
I wonder if you'll miss me when I die

(chorus)

-instrumental-

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,
You bring the rhythm and I'll bring the rhyme

(chorus)

I look out the window and what do I see?
A little red robin looking back at me.

(chorus)

My heart is burnin', my head's in a spin
If you don't love me that's a sin

(chorus)

If you don't love me, if you don't love me by now
Baby you are never gonna love me anyhow
Baby you are never gonna love me anyhow
Baby you are never gonna love me, are you?

Please keep your comments respectful, honest, and constructive. Please focus on the song and not the demo.

Let me know when this one gets music - those are some great lyrical couplets!

Thanks Chip, I'm working on it. Walking around the room strumming the baritone uke I'm golden, soon as I start to record ... might have to try just strumming it out on one track then adding the vocal. Doing two things at once seems beyond me when I am recording!

Good luck getting this one down...I'm sure you will...the words work well...
