Liner Notes:

Catherine Wacha and I did a set of 10 10 second songs where we exchanged music and lyrics “Not Perfect”.
One of the lyrics I sent her:
“I should dance more
I should worry less
I should laugh a lot
I confess”

I thought it would be fun to morph that a bit and develop it into a whole song. And yes, as an introvert, some of my early relationships ended because I was not as happy go lucky and perky as my partner would have ideally liked ..... luckily now I am with someone who makes me seem very extroverted so my introverted self is quite content....

Lyrics:

V1
I could dance more
I could worry less
I could laugh a lot
but I confess
that isn’t me
and it may
never be
who I am...
or who
you need....

PC1
I might digress
but I feel your unrest
and I know.....

C
you want someone outgoing
you want laughter flowing
you say you love me
and I know you do
but you love a person
of your dreams too
and maybe
that person
isn’t me.....

V2
I could talk more
I could retreat less
I could play a lot
but I confess
that isn’t me
and it may
never be
who I am...
or who
you need...

PC2
I might digress
but I want what is best
for us both

C
you want someone outgoing
you want laughter flowing
you say you love me
and I know you do
but you love a person
of your dreams too
and maybe
that person
isn’t me.....

B
I want you to be always happy
I strive to give you all I can
I love you so completely
but I am who I am

PC3
I might digress
but I have confessed
this is me

C
you want someone outgoing
you want laughter flowing
you say you love me
and I know you do
but you love a person
of your dreams too
and maybe
that person
isn’t me.....

I love this! As an introvert too it speaks to me. Another great one!

I love what you did to make this a complete song. This is a great, sad song about the inevitability of a relationship ending. Really nice job!
