YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!

Liner Notes:

There are really only two elements to this piece:
- fragments of dialogue from the Music Manumit Podcast, which is a talk show about Creative Commons music. Pieces of dialogue are cut up and rearranged throughout the duration of the piece. The specific episode is "MAMA -110515".
- a jam session that I was recording on my phone; funnily enough, for the first two minutes of recording this jam session, I had the last few minutes of the podcast playing in the background at the same time. Coincidentally, the saxophone was playing the same notes as the Music Manumit Podcast theme music (F, Eb and C).

This was largely assembled on Audacity, but some parts were done on Mixcraft 8.
From 3:05 to 3:45, I re-recorded some of the music using virtual instruments. The region originally had rapping in it, but being a mono phone recording I couldn't remove the vocals from it.

Please keep your comments respectful, honest, and constructive. Please focus on the song and not the demo.

That saxophone line is great.
You know, your jam session reminds me a bit of the King Crimson album "Earthbound" in both style and sound quality.
Which is an excellent thing.
The random bursts of spoken word are a little disconcerting in the headphones, but in the best way possible.
Yeah, a really nice slice of funky experimentation.
Well done.
