Liner Notes:

Was reading the statistic about how few U.S. citizens make the effort to vote. It's surprising to me, but I do understand how some feel that it doesn't matter. I disagree.

Lyrics:

VERSE:
It's dark outside
Foul winds are blowing
There's work to do
So let's get going

Must act as one
To stop this train
Or all our hopes
Will be in vain

CHORUS:
The time to resist is now
Spread the word across this land
The time to resist is now
Come together, show them where we stand

VERSE:
The shattered crystal ball
Of madness
Millions end their days
In sadness

Participation
Is the key
‘Cause we can’t
Make a change for free

CHORUS:
The time to resist is now
Spread the word across this land
The time to resist is now
Come together, show them where we stand

You said it! And so wonderfully! The kind of song we need so desperately right now. Awesome!

Those harmonies in the chorus are awesome, also I love how you draw out the word "stand." The piano adds a nice touch. I'm getting Styx vibes.

i like the crosby stills nash and young sound you have achieved here, carrying the kind of message they used to promote. that piano in the background adds a unique flavor.

this does have a really enjoyable CSNY vibe to it......with some etheral touches they never quite got the hang of, but did try at times Smile
great lyric/great vocal performance too! really enjoyed this....... it has a frustratingly hopeful feel to it that portrays the lyric perfectly
great work! Sounds a bit like a early 00's flaming lips tune as well(live at least, when they weren't going nutty with the orchestrations in studio)

I have to agree its got that CSNY ! really nice song. Good message! My experience is those that dont vote are often the first to complain about what they get!

excellent subject, and superbly done! really nailed that csn (or csny) sound for sure, and every line is a killer- great sentiment, and in a perfect world we'd have like 95% percent participation in the upcoming u.s. election....
