Liner Notes:

This is my song for the Morph challenge. I used the lyrics of Kahlo2013 song "New Love Songs" in full. I also used the same structure but the chords are different as is the feel - though the key is still Am.

Lyrics:

New Love Songs (Kahlo2013 ©)

V1
All day and night
I heard bold stories
Of time’s eternal romances
Heartfelt songs
As air grew sweeter
Future dreams with hopeful glances

V2
Every moment
Was and loving
Confidants and star crossed lovers
Inviting signs
Once bright and intense
Changed as torn hearts bled dark colors

C
Don't say you never loved me
You did - yes you did
Don't act like I am not enough
I am - yes I am
I don't know what you've been saying
But rumors are growing old
I’m not angry, broken, or gone
I am just singing new love songs

V3
I see through
Your insincere sorrows
No defending selfish inventions
Now it's all gone
You killed beauty slowly
All the victims left unmentioned

C
Don't say you never loved me
You did - yes you did
Don't act like I am not enough
I am - yes I am
I don't know what you've been saying
But rumors are growing old
I’m not angry, broken, or gone
I am just singing new love songs
I am just singing new love songs

Wow. Poetic lyrics set to a boundless jazz vocal and smooth stylistic arrangement. Love that lead horn line and sound. Very impressive work. Great collab. Enjoyed my listen muchly.

Great set of lyrics that work perfect for this type of song. Your vocals do well to bring that Jazz feeling, you give a great performance here. I've listened to three of your songs and they are all distinct and different. You take on these genres very well! Enjoyable song, great collab!

Beautifully smooth! Wonderful vocal performance. Working my way backwards through this morph, intrigued to hear the previous take on these lyrics.

Oh my! this is so great and jazzy. The chorus is appropriately powerful, especially the ending part, and the little instrumental transitions bring it all together.
