Liner Notes:

I wrote a song for my wife, Phoebe. At least it's not a break up song, right?!?

Lyrics:

I pull you close, look you in the eye
I bare my soul, I don't want to hide
I feel your hand, your hand in mine
We slow down, we take our time

Good trouble's what I see
When you're smiling back at me
I can't help but kiss you on your lips
So I pull you near
Good trouble is here

I see your smile as you look at me
I hold you close as we fall asleep
When I wake up and you wake up, too
I can't keep my hands off of you

Good trouble's what I see
When you're smiling back at me
I can't help but kiss you on your lips
So I pull you near
Good trouble is here

I saw you in the middle of a busy restaurant
You spent more than an hour tell me what you're not
One thing led to another and for years you've been my wife
I can't think of any way to make a better life

Good trouble's what I see
When you're smiling back at me
I can't help but kiss you on your lips
So I pull you near
Good trouble is here
I can't help but kiss you on your lips
So I pull you near
Good trouble is here

Seems you broke the break-up song wave. Good for you! This is so nice. I'm sure your wife loved it!

Who doesn't like good trouble. Great hook hung on an intimate picture of a real love story. Great rock band arrangement. Radio ready. Enjoyed.

Is that some double bass action on this drum track at 0:48? Very cool. This is a great love ballad, it has nice lyrics and a sincere vocal. The rock guitar and drums give this otherwise country feeling track some guts. That key change to the bridge is fantastic! Great track.

'Good trouble' is a term I've heard a lot recently with the death of John Lewis and you have used it in such a romantic and sincere way for a wonderfully dedicated song...

That electric piano does a lot. It mellows the sound. Makes the whole package sound more rounded and pillowy. Mmm.

I also like the fackt that you do more riffing with the guitar nowdays. I like the riffings!

And about the words, I think you describe perfectly two people who just work together. No need to fake anything.
