Liner Notes:

I started scribbling this back in April when I wanted to take part in the 100 songs in 180 days. Clearly I didn't get far with that. LOL

I reached out to @coreystewart but I haven't really heard back from him as I know he's in demand with the FAWM family.

So today, I looked at the lyrics again for the first time in 3 months, made some big changes, fussed over the melody and am mostly pleased with the result thus far.

I won't call this a co-wirte until i hear back from Corey, but I also didn't want to NOT acknowledge him.

I think song is one part a COVID and other being acknowledgment that something has changed in a r'ship but you can't quite put your finger on it

the first verse starts off mostly acapella with a single strum at the start of the line and then the end of the song, (from the bridge onwards), it starts to get that panicked feel as if to scream or beg for an answer from another person.

VERSE 1
I feel like a stranger on own street
The world is quieter, underneath my feet
Am I stronger or did I become weak?
Cos something’s different

VERSE 2
It don’t feel like - a regular Monday
I work with folks who drive me - kinda crazy
People look at me a little sideways
Cos something’s different

CHORUS
And what would you know?
And what would you say?
Prove it and show me
How nothing’s different
These days

VERSE 3
Can you touch the silence of the night?
It’s not like before - Am I, Am I right?
I sure hope this ain’t the end our time
Cos something’s different

CHORUS
And what would you know?
And what would you say?
Prove it and show me
How nothing’s different these days

BRIDGE x2
Tell me, Tell me again,
Tell me, Tell me again,
Tell me that nothing’s changed

CHORUS FINALE
And what would you know?
And what would you say?
Oh baby

Tell me, tell me again
Tell me, tell me again
Tell me that nothing’s changed

Ohhh
Tell me, tell me again
Tell me, tell me again
Tell me that nothing’s changed

And what would you know?
And what would you say?
Oh baby,
Ev-ery-thing’s different
Ev-ery-thing’s different
Ev-ery-thing’s different these days

Beautiful write! I think we all can say everything's different now. Good song!

You nailed exactly the sense of heightened franticness that you were going for toward the end of the song. I always enjoy songs that could be about multiple topics. Nice lyrics!
