Liner Notes:

This was a Random Collaboration effort. I got paired up with the amazing lyricist Amanda West, who provided the lyrics below. Amanda noted she had a "rock" feel when she wrote them so I (hopefully) have done them some justice.

Please go and check out Amanda's work.

Amanda says: I sent @Zeekle the lyrics as part of the Random Collaboration challenge #2. I listened to a load of his work before starting to write, as I wanted to create something that I hoped he would like and could work with. Having just listened to the song, I love how he has translated the lyric, and really like the resulting song Smile
It's reminds me a lot of The Who in their rock opera 'Tommy'. I think this is a keeper !

Lyrics:

Tell Me Who I Am (c) 2020 Amanda West

Verse
Where did I go last night
I know I wasn't in my head
Maybe somewhere else instead
Maybe

Chorus
Who is going to tell me who I am
When I'm wandering in sleep
And who is going to show me where I've been
And what I've seen
And what it all means

Pre chorus
So how is this all going to end

Verse
How can I feel who I am
I don't recognise myself
Can't tell which part of me is dead
I can't

Chorus
Who is going to tell me who I am
When I'm wandering in sleep
And who is going to show me where I've been
And what I've seen
And what it all means

Bridge
No sound
No movement
No nothing
To let me see
No light
No feeling
To tell me I'm alive

Solo

Chorus
Who is going to tell me who I am
When I'm wandering in sleep
And who is going to show me where I've been
And what I've seen
And what it all means
Pre chorus
So how is this all going to end

Please keep your comments respectful, honest, and constructive. Please focus on the song and not the demo.

This indeed brings the Rawk to some great words. And with just the right amount of cowbell.

Wow! Congrats on a fantastic random collaboration! The incredible rocking guitars, driving beat, and bass riff provide a perfect stage for the strong emotive vocals that make this wonderful philosophical lyric come alive! Takes me back to some of the awesome rock songs I grew up on! Kudos to you both!!

Wow! Well...this is definitely rock. You definitely have the genre down--both guitar-wise and vocal wise. Very nice lyrics, which have clearly inspired you. Great collaboration, you two!
