Liner Notes:

I saw the prompt "catch me gently" on the internet and took up the challenge.
Simple love song looking for a musician to take it somewhere.

Lyrics:

Catch me gently

V1
This is love because it feels
As though I’m head over heels
Like I’m tumbling through space
At a supersonic pace
V2
I’m an earth-bound meteorite
A falling satellite
And this must be love because
It feels incredibly right
Chorus:
Please catch me gently
Don’t let me hit the ground
Please, catch me gently
This must be love we’ve found
So please catch me gently
Bridge:
If it feels this right for me, and if it feels that way for you
And if that’s really true, then you’ll know what you must do..
Chorus:
Please catch me gently
Don’t let me hit the ground
Please, catch me gently
This must be love we’ve found
So please catch me gently
Outro:
Yes, please, please, catch me gently
I know this is love we’ve found
So please catch me gently

You keep cranking them out! Nice job. Reminiscent of the old Hank Locklin song, Please Help Me, I'm Falling. Good luck with the collab.

You're doing well here, John. Wink And nice 'catch' with the title/hook. A very pretty love lyric that someone is bound to want to compose for. Smile

Hi Donna and Ed,
Thanks. I know this is a marathon and not a sprint but I might as well get the lyrics out there whilst the creative juices are flowing!

Interesting feel to this. I like it when the focus of the song is in something specific like catching someone and not just "I'm so in love" or something. Makes it feel more personal. Really appreciate it.

Oh, and unrelated friendly note, I recommend using the "reply" functionality or replying to comments on people's profiles. Otherwise, it's highly unlikely that they'll ever find out you wrote something back. Smile
